A black and white photograph of Clevedon Beach, I use the word Beach loosely here as it is simply shoreline rocks and pebbles really. Clevedon Pier stretches out into the Bristol Channel, lit by sunlight though increasingly coming under a cloudy sky.
Wales can be seen in the backdrop. At the right, middle, of the frame is a Hotel,which became disused, that is now covered with scaffolding whilst being turned into apartments.

One of the 'Ladies of the Marine Lake' took an iPad case to cushion her head and then attempts a handstand, at the Marine Lake.

The lady said that: "If I hadn't been wearing a dress" [which she obviously feared might expose her modesty] "I would have done it." [the handstand]

The woodland seems to have suffered this summer and to my eye it's as if Autumn has arrived early this year, although I believe this is due to the trees shedding leaves to conserve water during the recent heatwaves. Some trees have even expired under the difficult circumstance of life in this wood.

A fairly bland overcast sky with some cloud for relief and the lighting is quite flat and over cast, though bright, so the contrast was difficult to acheive.
This mage is a mix of old Bristol with waterfront square industrial buildings, now converted to apartments (flats) and the more modern 'S' Bridge's curves that mimic the bends of the river.

The lighting is quite flat and over cast, though bright, so the contrast was difficult to acheive.
Why: I liked the strong curves of the bridge and the presence of two people, for me, give the picture context.

An, almost colourless, colour photograph of Weston Bay, Somerset, UK. Taken some three hours after low tide, so the tide is well on the way back in.
The sky is quite cloudy though with light patches breaking through which is reflecting off the water.
In the background, from bottom left to slight right of centre, sits Brean Down and right at the tip of the peninsula is the old Fort. Just the right is a ship in the Bristol Channel, which we can barely make out.

Scaffolding and planking is being installed and when done, I imagine, that the pier's debris will be recovered from the pebble beach.
