Happy #PortfolioDay! My name is Isaac Swindle and I recently launched my comics publishing newsletter, Gutter Bound! I’m also a freelance comic book editor looking for new gigs. I’ve worked on multiple titles from Ooligan Press, including editing and lettering their first graphic novel project!

My latest article for my new comics publishing newsletter, Gutter Bound, is now live! If you're interested in comics editing, collected editions, or hearing someone talk a LOT about John Ostrander, please take a look! I'm excited to dive more into the DC Catalog!

With the upcoming release of Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray’s Jonah Hex: All-Star Western Omnibus (10/28), I wanted to reshare my mockup for their wildly underrated 2005 series. I have an application in for a Collected Editions editorial position at DC Comics and it is my absolute dream role. (1/3)

And lastly is my graphic memoir display. Front and center is my favorite recent read by “The Future of Comics” @zoethorogood.bsky.social. This graphic novel made me feel lots of feelings. This display also features the classics from Spiegelman, Thompson, Takei.

Been working on ways to bring more readers into comics while working at Powell’s Books. My first step was a *brief* reading order for Batman, main titles from New 52 to today. More characters and publishers coming soon! @ssnyder1835.bsky.social @tomking.bsky.social @jamesthefourth.bsky.social

The first comic that I have edited, lettered, and done many other things on is being released TODAY! I am super proud of the work done on The Pacific Northwest Disaster Guide. I’m so glad I had the opportunity to work with Henry Miller and @jeffparker.bsky.social during my time with Ooligan Press!

Just wanted to share my (unofficial) WIP progress for a hypothetical Jonah Hex by @jimmypalmiotti.bsky.social and Justin Gray Omnibus Volume 1 (not a real omnibus). I'm using this project to showcase my comics publishing and book design skills as I continue my industry job hunt! CA: Frank Quietly
