Hood Rat has finally realized I'm not a huge fan of dead mice deposited on the doorstep. Today he proudly brought one and placed it at my feet with a 'Look, Ma, it's not dead!' attitude. He neglected to add 'Yet...'. Nasty little bugger (both the cat and the soon-deceased mouse).

Hubby loves the classics; beyond retro video gaming, New York cheesecake (hold the toppings). I am a fan of new; even if it's only calling to Alexa to start morning coffee. Today I'm going wild, making Basque *Spanish for 'What's that smell?* cheesecake, and seeing how hubby reacts. Wish me luck!

I won't say the hubby is oblivious (in his defense, he mostly works out of town so away from home 5 days out of 7), but apparently... I've ruined Christmas by purchasing months ago the exact items he ordered me for Christmas. Ouch!!!
