This is flatly untrue. Studies show clearly that you can reduce overall suicide rates by restricting gun access, and people do not simply switch to other methods.
Two graphs with the title "Strong gun laws, some that restrict access to guns for individuals in crisis, have not resulted in increases in suicide using other methods." The first graph shows higher rates of overall suicide in states with low gun control compared to states with higher gun control. The second shows non-gun suicide rates are the same for both groups.

i feel i can't say i'm living ethically until i share this collection of perfectly curated online jigsaw puzzles: www.jigsawplanet.com/bazinauaddis...
A glisteningly spray-tanned man in sunglasses and a jacket encrusted with rhinestones leans out the window of a pink car holding up a gun also encrusted with rhinestones. Also, the car has dozens of very large fake diamonds glued to it.

The attacks from allies are coming from inside the house! This article has so far not said a single positive thing about any type of modern feminism! Just a list of ways it's a failure, either too spineless or too cringe or too upset. Fuck's sake.
Screenshot with hilighted text: "What happened to the Resistance? “The Handmaid’s Tale” offers a clue: its proponents were stymied by attacks from allies, unable to grapple with the strength and virulence of their enemy, and ultimately became too tame, too conciliatory, too afraid to be unpopular, and too alienated from the movement’s radical roots."

lost all respect for this piece when it ended one paragraph with "feminists are wildly overwrought" and started the next with "all the things those (annoying, hysterical) feminists were on about have now happened"
Screenshot from the article linked below: "As the Trump years wore on, the show, and the women who saw themselves in it, came to be associated with the Resistance era’s embarrassing earnestness: it was excessively self-serious, insufficiently self-aware, and wildly overwrought.

When you watch the show now, with the clarity of distance, what’s most striking is not its hysteria but its lack of conviction. Many of the features of its world that were once branded as alarmist now seem like sober realism. Democracy really has eroded under Donald Trump. (A flashback from the second season, in 2018, that shows June and Luke watching news coverage of an attack on the Capitol building uncannily evokes January 6th.) Roe v. Wade really was overturned."

what are you TALKING about??? i was at these protests, just because they didn't fix anything doesn't mean they didn't exist
Wikipedia screenshot: "The Women's March[11][12][13][a] was a worldwide protest on January 21, 2017, the day after the first inauguration of Donald Trump as the president of the United States. It was prompted by Trump's policy positions and rhetoric, which were and are seen as misogynistic and representative as a threat to the rights of women.[11][18] It was at the time the largest single-day protest in U.S. history, being surpassed 3 years later by the George Floyd protests.[19] The goal of the annual marches is to advocate legislation and policies regarding human rights and other issues, including women's rights, immigration reform, healthcare reform, disability justice, reproductive rights, the environment, LGBTQ rights, racial equality, freedom of religion,[20] workers' rights and tolerance. According to organizers, the goal was to "send a bold message to our new administration on their first day in office, and to the world that women's rights are human rights".[21]"

wouldn't the world be better if you handed your life over to spyware that would tell you to stop going outside and not bother trying to read books?
Screenshot from article: "So imagine a world in which an A.I. knows your stress levels tend to drop more after playing World of Warcraft than after a walk in nature. Imagine a world in which an A.I. can analyze your reading patterns and alert you that you’re about to buy a book where there’s only a 10 percent chance you’ll get past Page 6."
