Yay Isles season start tonight.. and I'm so excited to already read from my fellow fans "I hope they lose for better draft positioning" in September.

I just had to show someone how the elevator works. They were insisting that it doesn't go to the floor above. I got into the elevator, pressed the button and told them to wait and it will go up. Did I mention people move here for the superior schools?

For the longest time I thought the lyric in Bette Davis Eyes was "All the boys think she's a spaz.."

I love it when someone in the library asks me a question with their Airpods on and then can't hear me. I didn't approach you, you approached me!

It almost sounds like Abe Laboriel Jr. was just sitting in and isn't actually a permanent member of Pearl Jam.. ?

Hello good humans,

Just a quick note on this Monday morning to thank each and everyone who came out to Ohana Fest this year. Three days of great groups, all of whom were further energized by the pumped up vibes from a perfect crowd. You all made our tenth year so special and we are GRATEFUL.

Also wanted to extend our further appreciation to Abe Laboriel Jr. sitting in on drums for PJ.
It was a joy to play with him, and he’s obviously extraordinary at his craft. The man works and PLAYS hard.

It is no wonder he’s been with the ultimate Maestro Paul McCartney and his mind blowing band for decades. Thank you so much for this weekend Abe. And thank YOU Paul. We owe you big time.

— Eddie

This new thing where companies give you a few minutes after you hit "pay now" to edit your order is great.

Long Island Cares is a food bank which was founded by Harry Chapin. www.licares.org Yes, the Cat's in the Cradle guy. I get so annoyed when I see what this turd did to his theater at the park.

Well I think after all this rain we can safely say the drought is over.

I've been watching "Rein Me In" by Sam Fender & Olivia Dean sit on the UK charts for months and I think it's heading to the US? Well if most people here somehow escaped hearing "Choosin' Texas" they'll probably miss this too.

A coworker asked me not to ruin Jets score for them and I felt like saying, just assume they're going to always going to lose and then be pleasantly surprised? 😀

Well first time I have had to put "Water leak in Children's room" on my daily report when I'm in charge of the library..

Vibes feel pretty shitty in preseason for the Islanders. It's going to be another long season for us. Well, at least the company at UBS is good.

Mom, how did you meet dad? Well he posted on Reddit he wanted to get high and cuddle during a nor'easter.

I'm probably the only person that wants to work through the Nor'easter today because I would then have off Monday. Most of my coworkers that work today, had off yesterday. To be fair we rarely close even for snow, so I always chose Monday over Friday.😃

Today will be crazy in the library when people will be A) panic book borrowing before the storm B) panic studying before a storm. 😆 Either way I'll be in the library ALL weekend hoping everyone locally (including my parents) keep their power. 🙏

There are like 300 teens in the library right now and I'm in charge until 9pm. On one hand, it's nice that these kids have a safe free place to go, on the other hand..

When you overhear a senior citizen speaking loudly to her husband that she "should have been a librarian and not a teacher." Ma'am, if you wish you had worked more nights, weekends, holidays, summers..and these days, with the mentally ill.. .. then you definitely picked the wrong career.

I worked in health insurance and then in car insurance. I saw so much fraud. Pretty sure their favorite customers never filed a claim.

Kids today will never know what it's like to mail in their name and address to a metal magazine to have their name/address published in the back for pen pals and then get mostly letters from incarcerated men. 👀
