I grew up watching #Colbert and my world will be dimmer without his show. But I take comfort knowing that in the future, students will be taught his name as an example of bravery in the face of #authoritarianism. Keep the #faith! #BoycottParamount

#BadBunny told a story through stage settings, movement, and emotion. You know where else that happens? #OPERA. I love opera and I don’t speak Italian. This #SuperBowl performance gave me the gift of empathy, by feeling what non-English speakers experience everyday. #ReleaseTheEpsteinFiles

Love is the greatest commandment. #HappyPride #LoveIsLove ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.' Matthew 22:37-39

Gay Christian and sn’t an oxymoron.
Hateful Christian most certainly is.

Untitled (1967) by Yayoi Kusama

Untitled (1967) brings the audience to the illusion of boundaryless space. A combination of big and small dots in bright colors evokes an illusion in our eyes. It breaks the space dimension and at a certain point, it can free our mind. As many of Kusama’s works, Untitled (1967) has also hypnotic effects for the audience.

For Kusama, polka-dots symbolize the energy of the whole world and living life. The round, soft, colorful, senseless, unknowing of polka-dots are a way to infinity.

Composition VIII- Kandinsky

In Composition VIII, geometrical elements of varying forms and colours are scattered dynamically and interactively over a cool background. The most striking shape is the large black circle on the canvas’s upper left corner, which serves both as a reference point for the smaller circles and as a powerful contrast to the sharp lines and triangles.

Day 2 #MayMysicMasterpiece Self portrait, Frida Kahlo www.fridakahlo.org/self-portrai...

In this portrait, Frida Kahlo faces the viewer with a background of large green leaves and a yellow leaf right behind her. The thorns are around her neck like a necklace which is held by a black monkey. Her neck is bleeding from the piercing thorns. On the right side behind her shoulder is a black cat. A hummingbird is hanging on the thorn which knots around her throat. Her expression is calm and solemn. It also seems she is patiently enduring the pain.

#MusicChallenge #MusicSky #MayMusicMasterpieces Day 14 Painting: The Birth of Venus - Botticelli Song : Angel - Gavin Friday open.spotify.com/track/0rK3Op...

Botticelli’s “The Birth of Venus” is notable for its intricate composition and rich symbolism. The painting is structured around a triangular arrangement that draws the viewer’s eye towards Venus at its apex. She stands gracefully on a scallop shell, her long hair flowing like golden waves, while her modesty is preserved by her cascading locks.

Surrounding her are figures from mythology: Zephyr, the god of the west wind, and his companion Chloris, who blow her towards the shore, while on land, one of the Horae—goddesses of the seasons—awaits her arrival with a cloak. This careful arrangement creates a sense of movement and harmony that is characteristic of Botticelli’s style. Symbolism permeates every aspect of this painting.

The shell itself is often interpreted as a symbol of femininity and fertility, while Venus represents not only physical beauty but also spiritual love. The flowers scattered around her are emblematic of spring and new beginnings, reinforcing the theme of rebirth that resonates throughout the work. The ethereal quality of the figures, combined with Botticelli’s use of soft lines and muted colours, creates an otherworldly atmosphere that invites contemplation.

This dreamlike quality is further enhanced by the delicate expressions on the faces of the figures, which convey a sense of serenity and grace.

#MusicChallenge #MusicSky #MayMusicMasterpieces Painting 11: The Starry Night - Vincent Van Gogh Song: Mayonaise - Smashing Pumpkins open.spotify.com/track/0jmKzJ...

The oil-on-canvas painting is dominated by a night sky roiling with chromatic blue swirls, a glowing yellow crescent moon, and stars rendered as radiating orbs. One or two cypress trees, often described as flame-like, tower over the foreground to the left, their dark branches curling and swaying to the movement of the sky that they partly obscure. Amid all this animation, a structured village sits in the distance on the lower right of the canvas. Straight controlled lines make up the small cottages and the slender steeple of a church, which rises as a beacon against rolling blue hills. The glowing yellow squares of the houses suggest the welcoming lights of peaceful homes, creating a calm corner amid the painting’s turbulence.” - Alicja Zelazko

Every single person, in the US legally or illegally, is protected by the #5thAmendment of the Constitution. These are not deportations, they are illegal abductions by government officials. They should be tried, and will be after this regime ends.

No person shall… be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due premixes of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use without just compensation.
