I make comics. I paint models. I 3D print. I'm bad at social media. I worked at Comixology for 13 years and have no idea what I'm doing next.

Don't know how y'all live with the character limit here, honestly. Drives me nuts. The venn-diagram intersection between "thoughts I have that are worth sharing" and "thoughts I have that can be expressed in 300 characters or less" is like an infinitesimal sliver.

I've got a book on Kickstarter right now. Just FYI. In case you were curious or whatever. No worries if not, I guess. Have a great day.

Since I just got here, might as well do a #throwbackthursday and share this model I finished painting about a year and a half ago. "The Rainbow Connection" Sculpt by Scott Wells (@scottwells3d.bsky.social) Kit produced by "Sci-Fi Models And Stuff" #garagekit #gk #jimhenson #kermitthefrog #resin
A hand-painted sculpture of Jim Henson puppeteering Kermit The Frog, based on a publicity photo from the set of The Muppet Movie. The sculpture features Henson's full torso (cutting off just below the waist) and is mounted on a wooden plinth with a brass rod. Including the plinth, the model stand about 1-1.5 feet tall. Henson is wearing a deep blue (nearly indigo) turtleneck and a large brass belt buckle that says "The Muppet Show" above his blue jeans. His right hand is inside the Kermit puppet while his left hand deftly manipulates two rods connected to Kermit's arms. Kermit is positioned so that he and Jim are at eye level and facing one-another. Jim's face and left hand are rendered in very lifelike oil paints, while his clothes and the Kermit puppet are painted with very saturated acrylic inks with airbrushed shading to define the volumes. Henson wears a microphone on a headset that is strapped to his head with an embroidered headband; the mic itself is positioned just below Jim's mouth and is covered with green foam. Wires run from the top of the headset to a box clipped to Henson's belt on his left side.A hand-painted sculpture of Jim Henson puppeteering Kermit The Frog, based on a publicity photo from the set of The Muppet Movie. Finally joined this site. NGL, I'm mostly just here to squat my user-name. But I dislike twitter-style social media, for multiple reasons. (Ex: I'm already chafing against the character limit.) So I don't expect to be very active. Willing to be wrong about that, though. Any tips to get value here?
