Haha perfect! 🤣
An official notice from the Star Trek Online account. It reads:

“Captains - there are two bugs in the new mission that we're working on fixing. One is locking progression at a certain point - details in comments to avoid spoilers. The other is Moopsy. Moopsy can eat a boss and break the mission. Do not bring Moopsy.”

💯 unless it was something like …
Comic of a conversation between Megatron and Optimus Prime.

Megatron: Optimus, I don’t like fembots, okay?

Optimus (thinking): Megatron is a misogynist?

Optimus: Megatron … I cannot let this slide. You must take it back.

Megatron (thinking): Optimus is a homophobe?

haha yes I remember that product. Also, the Wikipedia entry is pretty wild! Like seriously, what bunch of insensitive assholes.
By the mid-1980s, public awareness of AIDS brought notoriety to the brand due to the phonetic similarity of names and the fact that the disease caused immense weight loss (cachexia) in patients.[7] In a September 1985 newspaper interview titled "AIDS has aided Ayds", the president of Ayds' manufacturing company stated that sales had actually increased as a result of the connection, and that "people who suffer from that disease (AIDS) are not the same people who are trying to lose weight".[8] Another executive was quoted in early 1986: "The product has been around for 45 years. Let the disease change its name."[9] Ayds announced it was seeking a new name in 1988, as sales had fallen by as much as 50%.[10] The first rebrand debuted in the UK. "Slim" was appended to Ayds to create a new name, "Aydslim." Marketing strategists quickly criticized the choice since it still contained the name of a disease.[11] Sales did not improve despite new flavors (apple and black currant), advertising, renaming efforts, and a subsequent US-focused campaign as "Diet Ayds" was unsuccessful.[11][12]

My mom hated to fly, so when we took vacations from Virginia, we drove to Texas, Florida, Kansas, New York, etc, in our 1985 Plymouth Voyager. We flew exactly once, to Las Vegas, and then drove around that side of the map to see the Grand Canyon, Death Valley, redwoods, Alcatraz, etc.
A map of US showing which states I've visited or lived in. Only lived in VA, and have visited or passed through almost everywhere except New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Washington State, the Dakotas, Nebraska, Idaho, Wisconsin, Montana, Illinois, Alaska, and Hawaii.

loved when Ransom and Shaxs were just casually shown doing the same routine in the same outfits, while talking about plot stuff.
Commander Ransom and Lt. Shax excercising in front of a mirror. They're dressed in the famous weird spandex outfits that Crusher and Troi wore in "The Price". They are doing one of the exercises seen in that episode, where they sit facing each other, legs spread and feet touching, and holding hands and apparently tugging at each other? The aerobic benefit is unclear.

1997's Dungeon Keeper: You are the evil owner of a dungeon, building treasure rooms, traps, and hallways, and breeding minions to populate them. NPC heroes invade and try to steal your treasure. The actual gameplay wasn't very refined, and the idea would benefit from modern Tower Defense mechanics!

We’ve got a VW id buzz and a Lucid Gravity. Both seat 7. The Gravity has almost as much space, but twice the range and twice the charging speed (also 5x more horsepower if you care about that kind of thing). Also way way nicer interior.

The app let you do two things - 1) control the flippers via Bluetooth, which was useless, and 2) detonate the “Big Bang” shot, which was huge. Big Bang gives 50,000 points and instantly completes your current mode. The app hasn’t worked in like 10 years, but I still have it on my phone!

Held a fun tournament at The Pinball Basement last night using iScored! Casual best-game format from 6pm to 10pm, games from multiple eras, from Sorcerer to Pokémon. Pretty good turnout - I think we had about 30 participants. Not bad for a casual, non-IFPA event on a Wednesday!

Exactly this. Their EXISTING policy covered this eventuality clearly! They just chose to ignore it. Words and statements will not fix this, because they've already proven they will ignore their own stated policies as soon as it's remotely inconvenient. I've posted this 100 times but:
2 official statements from the IFPA. The first is from the IFPA FAQ, and it states in part "If certain players are prohibited from playing based on age, gender, skill or personal reasons, those results will not be counted." The second is from the IFPA's official statement on the OBX incident and says "On Friday, November 7th, transgender members of our pinball community were subjected to an act of discrimination while attempting to participate in the OBX Flippers Arcade Fall Pinball Bash. [...] As a result of this act of discrimination, members of the impacted community, rightfully prioritizing their own safety and well-being, did not participate in the event."

Short version: I made #5 seed in VA (yay!) but I'm not playing the IFPA State Championship because Harry Potter is on the games list and I very much don't want to play it. Full performative virtue-signaling navel-gazing statement below with alt-text. #pinball #ifpa
It is with great sadness that I must withdraw from the IFPA Pinball State Championship for Virginia. I cannot in good conscience participate in a competition featuring the Harry Potter game.

I worked hard all year and finished as the #5 seed in the state, earning a first-round bye. Though not on the same level yet as a few of the top contenders, I believe I had a non-zero chance of winning this year. Qualifying and competing well there was my overarching pinball goal for all of 2025. I say this not to brag, but to hopefully convey that this event was important to me.

JK Rowling fully owns the Harry Potter IP, wields total creative control over its content, and earns massive royalties from every licensed product. She has also made it her very public life's work on a daily basis to to spread bigotry, and attack and materially harm an extremely vulnerable class of people.

I don't want to play a game that directly funds the amplification of the harm she funnels her billions into perpetuating. So I'm not gonna.

I know some people will find the above statement baffling or humorous, and some will gleefully mock or ridicule me for this decision. They will say I'm being hypocritical, since I do play games designed by [Known Bad Person], or with a backglass featuring [Actor Who Also Sucks]. And then in the next breath, they'll accuse me of unfairly seeking total perfect purity, insisting on unrealistic, impossible standards (without realizing that the first point logically negates the second).

I hope it's obvious to most, but I don't demand purity. I do indeed participate in society -- you are very smart. But that doesn't mean standards shouldn't exist. For myself, I have to set the bar somewhere. And here it is. It's not even a high bar. It's a very, very low bar -- to not want to spent my leisure time having fun in a world (under glass) created by one of the most high-profile bigots on the planet right now.

This is not a decision I took lightly. When I…

This is how Facebook chose to communicate to me a number going from 530 to 545. This degree of graphing sin should be a FELONY: The absurdly narrow y-axis. The insane three decimal points of precision on a unit that can by only be whole numbers. The inexplicable rising precision of the Y.
A graph showing a number remaining flat for several weeks and then rising from 530 to 545. However, since the range of the y-axis starts at 525 and ends at 545, it makes the jump look astronomical. This is exacerbated by the bottom y label being “530” while the topmost label is, for some insane reason, “545.000”.

Won both the Carpool League and Pinball Basement League this week! Should net me about 90 WPPRs. Feels bittersweet, with how empty and meaningless those points seem now. I do still love competing and playing pinball, though. #pinball #ifpa

#silksong is the best game I've played in years. Also the most challenging game I've ever gotten to 100%. I really appreciate that doing so is just beating bosses and getting all the tools and abilities, no "collect all 900 pinecones" BS. This took me about 80 hours. PHENOMENAL value for $20!

I built my own crypto rig back in 2016 because I didn’t GET it and wanted to figure it out. I wrote custom optimizer and control scripts for the miners. Cost ~5k. Made about $14k (sold everything as I mined it) and sold the rig for $6k about 4 months later. It was LOUD, like vacuum cleaner loud, 1/2
A custom built computer rig .. really just a metal frame with a motherboard and 5 Radeon Vega 56 graphics cards. When finished, it would eventually have 8.

These two official statements from the IFPA make it blindingly obvious that the OBX Flippers Tournament results cannot be counted without blatantly defying their own stated rules. This should be so easy.
Two snippets from official IFPA statements. The first is from the IFPA Website FAQ and reads (in part) "If certain players are prohibited from playing based on age, gender, skill, or personal reasons, those results will not be counted." The second is from the IFPA Official Statement regarding the OBX Pinball Tournament at Flippers and reads "On Friday, November 7th, transgender members of our pinball community were subjected to an act of discrimination while attempting to participate in the OBX Flippers Arcade Fall Pinball Bash. [...] As a result of this act of discrimination, members of the impacted community, rightfully prioritizing their own safety and well-being, did not participate in the event."
