It was great returning to this spot to have a look for Ural Owls in Šumava NP, Czechia, and in exactly the same place where I’ve had an adult in previous summers, there was one of this years young! Fledged and already attempting to hunt for itself. We had incredible views over several visits.

A memorable recent encounter, walking along the edge of the 400 foot high cliffs of Flamborough’s coastline and peering down to see this Puffin just a couple metres away. We were able to leave the Puffin in peace and carry on down the path after the fantastic views. #birds #UKWildlife

During June it was nice to finally see Silver-studded Blues at a local Surrey site near Esher. One of the very few locations actually within London’s M25 to contain them, but nonetheless a patch of heathland that supports a good population. #ukbutterflies #wildlife
