This Might Hurt Lenormand grew from fascination with the Lenormand system and frustration with Lenormand’s limited capacity to represent diverse identities. This deck reimagines Lenormand for the contemporary world! Check out the campaign page for lots more info!

Oh yeah they ROCKED. They did me such a solid. I got to just disappear into the woods without cell reception for half of it.

This really helped. The pictures of wood chippers with my name on them affected me a lot more than they did my friends, so they could do it with considerably less psychic damage than I could. And it only lasted about 3 days.

This has happened to me on a smaller scale and I also got antisemitic comments. Two of my friends got me through it. One monitored my account for direct threats in real time, and the other periodically took screenshots of direct threats and hate speech in case I ever needed them as evidence.

comics is like "nice! finished a picture." and then you have to do it 2-8 more times. and then you have to do THAT on EVERY PAGE. and some of the pictures are like, hard

I'm really good at getting in there fast but when I exhibited two years ago there were so few graphic novels for sale that it felt like a pop culture show, not a comic show. It's okay for shows to be mostly merch and prints but it's not a good fit for me.

I am an organizer of @comicartsmaineport.bsky.social in Portland Maine and we do this :)

I ended up deciding not to exhibit at Flamecon anymore because there's so few comic artists there so it didn't seem like the right show for me. Which is fine -- not every show needs to be for me. But personally, I'd love to see a % of tables reserved for people making & selling comics!

The saga of the siblinghood of the travelling sash comes to a close!! It's on its way home to @isabellarotman.bsky.social, without whom Abortion Pill Zine wouldn't have happened. I'm lucky to have Izzy and @marniegalloway.bsky.social as co-authors and even luckier to call them my pals!

Sage posed against a blue-green wall with a rose in their mouth. They are dressed as prom royalty with a sash that reads "Eisner Award Loser" may by Beth Hetland for the Abortion Pill Zine team

Sage, dressed like distressed prom royalty with a cheap plastic crown and pink roses, looking into the distance with watery eyes. Their outfit pays homage to a drawing of Megg from Simon Hanselmann's Megahex series.

Yeah it's roughhh. I blame the economy since sales of art/artisan goods seem low across the board. But yeah, that's why CAMP will stay cheap 😎😎😎

My sales have been quite bad for about a year and a half now as well. It's really rough.

Overwhelmingly, we want changes that will improve conditions for the artists, remaining and future staff, and the publisher. You can still buy sprocket books and support sprocket artists!

1/2 I have been with Silver Sprocket since 2017. I will likely have more to say about it when I have formulated my thoughts well, but for now: I have been in conversation with many sprocket artists (not all -- there's a lot of them) and the majority of us want sprocket to survive and succeed.

I understand - there are some but most are gone or in the process of leaving. No former employees have called for a boycott that I know of.

Isabella Rotman @isabellarotman.bsky.social · 02/07/2025

No sprocket artists or employees are calling for a boycott. Most of us still want sprocket books to be supported, because that is how the artists are supported. You can buy the book! You can even reach out to the artist to see if you can buy it from them directly :)

If you work in comics, YOU are eligible to vote in the Eisners! Abortion Pill Zine: A community guide to Misoprostol and Mifepristone by myself, @marniegalloway.bsky.social and @isabellarotman.bsky.social is up in a VERY, VERY stacked category! The more folks who vote the better imho. ✨💚

Also, mentioning for absolutely no other motivation than informing folks... Abortion Pill Zine AND my debut graphic novel Wine Ghost Goes to Hell are both eligible to be nominated for this year's Ringo awards. Just saying this for, really, no reason at all. 👁️👁️✨
