And drawing with my eyesight like this is going to be quite a challenge. Man, I'm even afraid of ruining the drawings I'm going to be making while my vision is like this, but I don't have a choice. I'm going to have to find a way to manage.

So starting today, I'm going to try to push my eyes a little, to see if I can deliver the commissions that are in the queue. There aren't many, at least. The good news is that the sensitivity to light exposure is completely gone. But the blurriness and unfocused vision are still here.

Good morning. This Monday, the fifth, I'm going to have to do something that goes against my doctors' recommendation. But the reality is, I'm a freelancer. And if I spend the next thirty to ninety days resting, like the doctors told me to, I'm going to run out of money.

And what I was told before the surgery — that recovery would take seven days, and that I could leave the operating table seeing perfectly and using screens within seven days after the surgery — turned out not to be true in my case, because my case turned out to be outside the norm

But unfortunately, this can’t even be called a surgical failure or a surgical error. It’s a matter of my vision being truly complicated.

The pessimistic part I want to share with you is that there’s nothing to be done at the moment until my cornea has fully healed from the post-surgery recovery. And that process alone takes thirty days. In the worst-case scenario, the surgery will need to be redone.

And that residual myopia is what’s making me unable to see. I’m having extreme difficulty reading. Right now, I’m only able to make this post because I’m relying on artificial intelligence that can transcribe my dictated text and translate it into English in real time, since I can’t see properly.

That means there is still some residual prescription left in my vision. Even so, the surgery was able to take an astigmatism of 6 and reduce it to 0.50, which is a colossal reduction. However, a considerable amount of residual myopia remains.

But let me explain. Today I went to my trusted doctor to get a second opinion on the surgery results. From a technical standpoint, the surgery was a success, but he pointed out that my prescription was extremely high and complex.
