Me as a 20 year old watching an old timer eating pizza: why are you blotting the grease off that slice! If you can’t take the grease, you shouldn’t be eating it! Me as a 50 year old eating pizza: can I have some extra napkins please?

I really love the color vs color matchup in Wisconsin vs Notre Dame. But my old man eyes CANNOT read the numbers. Which just ruins the whole thing.

Steve Angeli getting hurt, leaving the game for a play, and then coming back in and throwing the key block downfield for a TD run was fantastic.

I was just above average enough at the college debate national championship (CEDA) my sophomore year that it led to some shenanigans from a judge, which led to an immediate rule change that is still in effect today. [All 5-3 teams advance to elims now.] @joshuabhoe.bsky.social can probably verify.

It is July 2026 and it feels Iike COVID 2.0. We are wearing masks (wildfire smoke), hoarding toilet paper (produce parasite), and can’t be around each other (extreme heat, storms, flooding, etc.).

We have to award Cape Verde fifth place right? Draw with Spain Extra time loss to Argentina - which also technically counts as a draw. That’s extremely impressive.

I think the US men are one generation away from breaking through. Need 10-15 more years to get depth across the team, another (or two) high level goalkeepers, and some better coaches. Disappointing end to this run, but I think there is hope.

Yesterday, I had the honor of presenting my work focused on mapping playgrounds in Minnesota that serve Native American and Indigenous youth to members of the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community. #maps #gis #data #play #Minnesota Report and findings here: kaboom.org/wp-content/u...

Four people from KABOOM! stand in front of the entrance to an exhibit called Mdewakanton: Dwellers of the Spirit Lake.

Two people stand at a podium presenting, with a view of a slide in the background. The slide has a child smiling and using a swing.

Report cover which features a mother holding a child. The title of the report is: Prioritizing Play for Minnesota's Native Youth.

At a conference today. The lunch was a gigantic pile of fresh waffle fries with a selection of 5 different ketchups and nacho cheese for dipping. And for dessert: old school ice cream bars. It was the happiest I have seen a group of people at a conference lunch in a long time.

My son had an early soccer game today. Big win. But more importantly the opposing coach had the greatest cooler I have ever seen.

A small cooler that is painted to resemble the van called the Mystery Machine from the Scooby Doo cartoon. Are there Scooby Snacks in this? Are there edibles for Shaggy inside? No one knows.

I tore my ACL playing kickball. Not from actually kicking the ball, but running the bases. I tried to score from second base. In my defense, it was a kickball league playoff game. And I crawled to third base to avoid being tagged out.

Serious question about the sewing kit cookies. Did they always have a chocolate chip cookie? Is this new? Is this unique to this brand? Never remember a chocolate chip cookie in these from my childhood.

Two people are visiting your home for the holidays. You leave them bagels for breakfast. They only want half a bagel (which is fine) - cutting the bagel in half and leaving other half for someone else. Which of these below is the correct way to leave half a bagel and which is violence?

Two bagels cut in half in different ways. The plain bagel is cut vertically. The cinnamon raisin bagel is cut horizontally.
