If you've not got a ceiling light, point a lamp and have the art perpendicular the same way. May need to adjust distance from the lamp to avoid glare.

Standing directly under a ceiling light holding the art vertical. Ideally the light is coming down between the art and the camera to reduce shadows. If there are multiple light sources, be careful to not get a shadow from one of them.

I recommend standing/sitting directly under a light holding the sketchbook vertical so that the light comes down between the phone and the sketchbook. Makes it well lit and unshadowed. Take a bunch of pictures and choose the best one.

Social media kind of fails because it's not all that social. You need people you can chat with. Try joining Discords of artists you like and chat outside the context of posting art. Drawing while on a discord call and chatting with others who are drawing too is a great way to feel more community.

Players can be good at feedback, but most don't know what they are talking about. You made something really cool, cool enough to have that many people care enough about it to try offering feedback. Take it in aggregate, if it's got mixed direction takes you probably are doing something right.

I have been making kobolds every month for different DND classes to get better at 3D modeling.This was the kobold for this month and the class this time was Monk. This was the eleventh month of doing this project and I have been happy with the results, so I may post the previous months at some point
