I feel like a part of me is more open to calling Twitter, "X", now that Bluesky is around. As if I didn't have to cling to the platform I once liked, and now kinda recognize it only as the cesspool of hate that it is, doing so through its current name.

Post a non-religious photo you think as holy. I managed to take this photo with my phone, an eclipse alone is cool, but the possibility for an absolute one floors me every time I think about it.

artists 🎨 stop apologizing for not posting, for taking breaks, for being slow, for drawing the same character, for posting only sketches, for gushing over OCs, for being a beginner, for raising your prices, for trying a new medium— start doing whatever you heckin want

I relate to George cause I too would rather work on different projects or go to other social media platforms than finish writing a 1200 page book

Could this app allow Neil deGrasse Tyson to get back to posting fun facts about the wrong science of movies without people getting offended? I miss those. Fun fact, a real science fact does not diminish fiction.

What an achievement vaccines are. What a monument to our love for each other it is to stare straight into the face of something as horrific and unstoppable as smallpox or measles or polio or cervical cancer and say “You know what, it doesn’t have to be like this.” HUMANS!

I cannot wait for the well researched video essay that will explain to me how is it that Bluesky ended up being chosen by the people, over Threads, T2, Mastodon and however many others there were. Not to call it early of course, but it's looking lively so far ^.^

It's so interesting to me how much healthier conversation is on this app, sure, smaller community and all, it is interesting to me just how low Twitter has gotten, where no conversation really feels sincere now, even down to something like the pettiest youtuber drama* everyone is farming engagement.

The thing that really differentiates Bluesky is that it doesn’t feel like it was designed by a bunch of people who will lose their jobs if I spend a little less time on Bluesky.

I've been teaching art for years. What holds you back isn't your inability to learn theory. It's a lack of: - Clarity of your goal & WHY you want it - Belief in yourself - A simplified roadmap - More action, less overthinking - More objective analysis of your mistakes

I find it cool how sometimes very impactful and influential pieces of art aren't the most realistic, quite often they showcase characters that are barely like... Proportionate? You can tell the intention and ability nonetheless, but it's a key reminder to my perfectionism to chill out sometimes

With this app, I'm noticing that now that I'm older (compared to prime Twitter), I don't exactly know what I missed from before? I'm not quite sure what content I want to interact with now. I feel a lack of knowledge for good specialists, like writers, artists, journalists, etc. I must get on this.
