I have been wanting to capture Ben Bulben in wool for some time, and over the last 2 weeks I did just that! I love how it's turned out and am very proud of it! At 40 x 50 cm, it's the largest needle-felted picture I"ve made to date. It is for sale! Pm for details!

The best news of the day is that it is raining in our little corner of Germany - for the first time in 2 mts! Yesterday we we concerned about the smell of smoke reaching us from various wildfires in Pfalz und Bayern, today I've dragged all my plants out of the shade, to catch as much as they can!

I've spent the morning trying to get answers from the source. I was on to a lovely lady at the Interior Ministry of the State of Hesse (here in Germany) who had me write the details of my situation in an e-mail so she can find out what she can. She said she'll hopefully get back to me tomorrow!

Go to that concert, see that show, attend that festival - because one day the artist you love may not be there any more. Most of the artists we've been to see lately are over 70. We jokingly say we want to see them while we - and they - still can. We never expected this!💔 RIP Glen Hansard.

There are some buildings so unique, that they can be identified by just one section; the Waldspirale in Darmstadt is one such building. Designed by the Architect/Artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser (who sadly passed away before it's completion), it is one of my favourite buildings in the city.

Her books are so witty and funny, that many don't realise the serious theme that's being covered! She put those calling her books ChickLit in their places a few years ago!

I'm fuming! Worse than that though is that they are stopping all flights between Dublin and Frankfurt outside of Summer months. It's not like there are empty planes going - they are always full. People need to get places in Winter too. Lufthansa is a very expensive alternative!

During our last heavy rainfall I out numerous baths, basins and buckets under our wonky gutter - and gathered about 20 liters - but that was back mid-June. Hoping for rain too! Meanwhile Data Centers ........🤷🏼‍♀️

"Verify your age" The first telephone I can remember my folks having, had a crank handle which we used to reach the operator, who would put us through to the number we wanted. To reach us, others would also have to ring the operator and ask for our 2-digit number! Rural Ireland early 1970s!😁

One of my best friends likes "Scheibenkleister"! When I'm around kids my go-to has always been "Sugar"! When my kids were small it used actually bug me that a lot of Germans thought it OK to use the English swearwords in front of them (happened a lot!😒). All for kid-friendly swearing!😄
