Major escalation near Braniewo, Poland, the Russian military has deliberately crossed the border with military helicopters. A Russian Mi-8 from Kaliningrad crossed about 300 metres into Polish airspace near Braniewo this morning and stayed for 42 seconds, Poland's military says.

This went viral. At an EU Foreign Affairs Committee meeting, Sinn Féin MEP Lynn Boylan lamented that it was “a pity we can’t use our own language.” When it was pointed out that she could, in fact, speak Irish, she backtracked almost instantly: "I wasn’t prepared, so I’ll use English."
