HOw the fuck do colors work I don't get it

I don't get it! I have this shit ass (actually wonderful I'm just upset) color swatch and, for the fucking life of me, I can't use it correctly! Is it the brush, the background of the image color? I don't know, I don't get it! I'm going to fucking choke to death!
Anyways I'll get better at it.

Yesterday but same end. Exceptionally low effort because I don't wanna.

I did my first electrolysis session today. (It then depicts me as a very simply drawn thing with a flower for a head, the center being my eye and the five petals are pink.)
The tech woman was really nice and had a kind smile that made all the daunting posts online seem less stressful. I'm also rather tall. (It then shows a simply drawing of the woman, she wears a nurses shirt and has a roundish squarish shape in her face and creases from where she usually smiles indicating that she smiles often. It also shows a mini me and mini her standing side by side with me being notably taller.)
I asked her to do my lip first cause it was the part I wanted gone the most. Apparently that part hurts the most. And I'll admit that it does in fact hurt a LOT. But she reassured me the whole time and said she was proud of me. (It shows me on the bed with a mask over my eye while a bright light shines on my face and she performs the electrolysis on me. I'm shaking minorly while trying very hard not to cry from the pain because I didn't use numbing cream of ibuprofen.)
While it isn't as expensive as I was expecting it's still good that I saved. She was helpful in telling me what numbing cream to get next time and also to take ibuprofen. (It shows me paying with a card at her desk with burns on the inner petals on my face which have wilted a little on their ends and my eye is squished to show that I'm lightly out of it from the treatment.)

Afterward she gave me a hug and said I did really well for an area that was meant to be especially painful. Likely added by the fact that I was kinda wonky from the whole thing I was trying very hard to keep it together. As I was heading out she pointed to a candy bowl they kept on the waiting room table and told me to take one leaving this very distinct image in my mind. Overall physically painful but good and kind people will always make the world a warmer place, and now I have less hair on my face which I am very happy about. (The picture depicts me as especially small and round, the inner petals are still burnt but my eye is full of innocence and whimsey with tears at the bottom of my eye while I hold a large red lollipop that was actually a twix bar.)

Doodling, I like the idea of the library being a general arts center, but mostly writings.

A guest in the library looks at a marble torso statue, enticed by its shape and quality. Books line the wall, sorted correctly but disorganized nonetheless. The entire thing is a sketch so don't think about it too hard.
