Finished some Accursed Cultists, had a blast painting them, absolutely gorgeous minis! Too bad that they are monopose, and not really lend themselves for kitbashing. But, ah well, they are amazing. #nerdlings #warhammercommunity #miniaturepainting #wordbearers #lorgarwasright

Finished my first Wardog "The Kingwyrm's Folly" Had tons of fun with this, reposing and painting both. This idea had been on my mind since starting my Word Bearer collection, and I am really happy with how it turned out! #nerdlings #miniaturepainting #warhammercommunity #wordbearers #chaosknights

Finished my Noise Marines. I love Noise Marines, one of my favorite units since I was a mere wee lad reading through 3rd edition. But somehow I didn't really enjoy painting them, it feels like there is no options to individualze them. All same-y. Sad. #nerdlings #miniaturepainting #wordbearers

Maybe I am setting myself up for a standard I may not be able to keep for other Knights. Anyway, this is what I had as a dream for a long time, the armor shows a scene from Lorgars life, where he beat a giant sandworm for the people of his homeworld. #nerdlings #miniaturepainting #wordbearers

The armor of a Wardog laid out, only the panels are painted, with a desert landscape, showing a scene of Lorgar on a dune, holding up his crozius, faced with a giant sandworm that is slithering through several of the armor plates.

Finally started on a Wardog, one of the first ideas I had for my Word Bearers. What an extremely fun kit to build and individualize! Can't wait to do the 2nd one! #nerdlings #miniaturepainting #wordbearers #chaosknights

I finished my Rhino, invested waaaay more time than would have been necessary. Super proud of the outcome, the simple little tank is like a tiny diorama. 🥹 More detail pics will follow. #nerdlings #miniaturepainting #warhammercommunity #wordbearers #lorgarwasright

Finally here's the sorcerer all of his little minions have been hyping up over the weeks. A really fun kitbash, and although it was hell of a lot work I can recommend it to all thousand sons players who want to switch it up a bit. #nerdlings #miniaturepainting #wordbearers #thousandsons

The Rhino might look a bit bland from the outside, but at least it has a rich inner life! The work payed off a ton, I love the way it is now a little diorama. I imagine the marine is quickly reading up on his homeWord before a big test in Bearer School. #nerdlings #miniaturepainting #WordBearers

Now the one I am most proud of: The Icon bearer. The banner is made of greenstuff, a sorcerer's staff and the flame icon + some random shit. I tried some freehand, aside the warband icon decal. Hope it's recognizable. #nerdlings #miniaturepainting #wordbearers #thousandsons #lorgarwasright

As a palate cleanser, a few WIPs for my rhino. I swear I could build this kit in 30 minutes flat if I wasn't posessed by the spirits of unnecessary details. #nerdlings #wordbearers

A good little rubric follows their master's orders. The best little rubrics take notes and doublecheck what those orders were, lest they forget. Or maybe they can just read stuff instead of their master, through some mind link. #nerdlings #miniaturepainting #wordbearers #thousandsons

Next Rubric done. The grenade-arm is from the EC tormentors and I really wanted to use it but it had no place in the EC kill team. The bolter, strapped under the cloak, was way more work to build than anticipated. I used some straps from a phobos marine. #nerdlings #wordbearers #lorgarwasright

I know I painted a lot more this year, but I did not realize just how much. 184 minis in one year, 4 Kill teams, 1 Bloodborne box, 1 nerdling contest entry, and a whole assload of Word Bearers. Damn. What a year. 🙏 #nerdlings #miniaturepainting #warhammercommunity #lorgarwasright

A collection of way to many minis for one year.
On the left side the bloodborne boardgame, in the middle on a dark mat 107 word bearers of varying shapes and sizes, on the right side 4 kill teams.

Four Kill Teams: Death Guard, Thousand Sons, Black Legion and Emperor's Children.

Another Rubric with boltgun, this one just extrudes aura. This mini alone looks like it would be the squad leader but it's just a grunt. The colors are very christmas-y, I realize. Maybe he got some presents. #nerdlings #miniaturepainting #warhammercommunity #wordbearers #lorgarwasright

Yet another rubric, going hard with a chainsword. I really like the aesthetic of their weapons...except the bird heads. I kinda wish I had replaced them with classical flamer muzzles. Ah well. #nerdlings #miniaturepainting #warhammercommunity #wordbearers #lorgarwasright

Finally got around to painting some Rubrics. Rogue Trader has me in it's unrelenting grip right now. Here's one with a more dynamic pose - the main reason why I did not like the regular Rubrics. #nerdlings #miniaturepainting #warhammercommunity #wordbearers #lorgarwasright

The Champion of the Chosen, carrying a representation of the symbol of Host, the Chalice of Eternity. This conersion was quite the ordeal, but he is sooooo cool (at least to me, and that is all that matters, right?) #nerdlings #miniaturepainting #warhammercommunity #wordbearers #lorgarwasright

The last four cultists, two leaders and two heavies. The leaders being a priest and an officer, mirroring the Word Bearers structure of a Dark Apostle and his Coryphaeus, wow. So fitting. Much parallel. #nerdlings #miniaturepainting #warhammercommunity #wordbearers #lorgarwasright

New Chosen, this one's a boney boy. I gave him the mace that originally belonged to the Chosen's Champion, Draznicht, but I felt it fits a regular chosen more. I like the purple mace and the excess of bones. #nerdlings #miniaturepainting #warhammercommunity #WordBearers #lorgarwasright
