I have to ask… Do y’all have pensions in America? Did the stock market crash and wipe out everyone’s retirement funds? Because a 79 year old shouldn’t be starting a new job. It’s so cute! Chloe is tiny, she looks like a kitty and weighs next to nothing so she can just fly and twirl in the air, no problem. Hucklebee is a big burly buckaroo and kinda clumsy. Seeing her act like a mama with her kitten despite the size difference warms my heart. What a sweetheart!

She did this over and over, denying herself the euphoria of killing the catnip fish at the end of the string, and running to Hucklebee each time, as if showing him it’s ok to miss. Sure enough, she lured him back out to try again.

Chloe is so sweet and motherly. She’s really good at jumping games where she catches stuff. Hucklebee tried but didn’t get the hang of it on his first try so he slunk away. I called his name to come try again but nope. So Chloe takes a big leap, misses on purpose and then runs straight to him.

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving from Chloe, Hucklebee & me. Today is also Gotcha Day for Chloe and Kennedy. I adopted them 7 years ago today and it was the best decision I ever made. This is the first anniversary without Kennedy and it still hurts so so much. I still cry every single day.

I was able to sleep in bed last night so I am in less pain today. Still have neuropathy and a migraine but it is receding. I knew I was doing too much but a 60th anniversary is pretty significant and I didn’t want to let anyone down. And my parents had a WONDERFUL time so it was worth it.

I had no idea she was so young! Her killer escaped on a weekend pass, met her when she was only 14. He’d been in prison for attempting to kill a previous girlfriend and for lewd behaviour.

She was only 16, murdered by her 34 year old escaped convict boyfriend. Her murder was used in the House of Commons to argue to keep capital punishment back in 1976. Seeing her name and Pierre Trudeau’s name in the same paragraph is surreal.

I was too weak to go back and forth to the bathroom and part of my PEM is overactive bladder. It feels like a UTI but is neurological, not bacterial. I am prone to falling at night so when I get PEM this bad I sleep in the tub. It’s so painful.

Post Exertional Malaise is such a silly term for a crash. Malaise almost sounds romanticized. Maybe it’s because it’s French?But it actually feels like the worst flu imaginable.

Sweet Hucklebee came and slept in the bathtub with me last night which meant so much to me. He’s not as snuggly as the other cats so any snuggles I can get with him are treasured. I hope this crash doesn’t last too long.

But I’ve been in so much pain with pelvic spasms that I’ve slept in the bathtub for two nights because I’m too weak to get to the washroom. I’m so exhausted and everything hurts. I try to never let anyone see the bad days and feel bad that Mom caught me at a low moment.

Mom just called now to chat about it and I was in the middle of a physical crash and emotional meltdown. I only leave the house for 2 hours a week so I was already at my limit before even getting to the venue. I pushed thru becauseI had to and I’m glad I did.

We celebrated my parents’ 60th anniversary on Saturday! It was such a lovely time spent with family, going over old photos and reliving happy memories. I did all the decorations, flowers, place settings etc and organized activities. My parents were thrilled. It was a perfect day.

A year ago everything was so different. The cats and I were at our annual vacation to my parents house to escape the noise of the air show.
