As the structure and scope of the Panel take shape, addressing Conflicts of Interest is essential. Involving experts with vested interests in the Panel’s core work poses serious risks - potentially leading to biased outcomes, compromised integrity, or delays in urgently needed action.

Sooo..some want to re-define #PFASs within IUPAC. I am happy to be part of a group of scientists pushing back on such activities not driven by any flaw in the OECD PFAS #definition but more likely motivated by economic or political interests... read our statement here: pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/...

There have been arguments to redefine #PFAS that seem to be politically or economically motivated. We (20 scientists with PFAS expertise) argue here that the definition of PFAS should be unambiguous and based on chemical structure. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/...
