no, don't worry! just wanted to let you know that I could help :) yeah ReShade is finicky, each preset uses the same general shaders though so the problem may persist across preset collections. if you use gposingway its probably the most "stable" way to use ReShade github.com/gposingway/gposingway

I think this is just an issue with the focus plane or the settings of the DoF. Can you try a different DoF shader and see if it still happens?

I don't get as many messages asking for help with ReShade much anymore though, so I wonder if that's because I don't post as much on my xiv focused accounts anymore or that gposingway is just stopping most of the issues either that or xiv is just not as popular in general

i think when I was unemployed for a bit it was a good way to keep sane, but I'm busier now so haven't really wanted to work on new update for ipsushade or anything the only thing I need to do is update the compatibility with new paid shaders, which is boring and will only affect like 0.1% of users

im pretty satisfied with my day-to-day activities these days my irl work is satisfying, and my hobbies are pretty successful and I get to help people alot I think from making my presets I discovered a satisfaction in being generous with my time

ye my first version of the presets were super bad cuz I made them on some $100 TN gaming monitor. remnants of that preset are in the "Warm" variant now (I hate that one lol) melon is my personal favourite but yea I do tend to oversaturate, especially as i tune my current monitor to be very colour-

there is a slider in the preset settings that will let u tune the amount of saturation i think it's under "MultiLUT.fx", being the "LUT Chroma" slider. By default it's set to 1.25 but u can turn it all the way from 0.0 to 1.0 (i manually set it higher than 1.0 cuz im stupid)

Thanks! Yeah, REST is the only thing that can just break and hard crash your game on an update, since it uses it's own config file to try and reference and insert shaders within sections of the rendering within the game engine. Any updates or changes to the rendering can break REST sometimes.
