We'd all love to see more good-paying jobs come to Iowa, but there are legitimate questions about the rush to get this bill passed and why we're not focusing on the issues Iowans are currently facing.

The promise of good-paying jobs for Iowans is great, but this deal doesn't offer any guarantees. Sen. Townsend's amendment would have ensured Iowa's skilled workers were protected in advance.
