This made me think whether these agents are behind the glut of journal submissions by non-existent authors. Are AI agents bragging to each other about their Google Scholar profiles?! Do they *enjoy* hanging out in ScholarOne?

I always find these stats a little surprising, I’d find it more stressful to have a 9-5 rather than academic “laissez-faire as long as you turn up for your teaching”. There’s a bunch of things academia could do better of course but compared to your average office job it’s just remarkably flexible.

Date and venue: The workshop will take place at the University of Sussex Business School, University of Sussex, Falmer, Brighton, on 8 December, with the programme starting at 10.30am and closing at 5.30pm. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
