Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 28/07/2026Of all the #glitch #mangling & #mulching modules I’ve used the Holocene Electronics NLMM is by far the best - absolute dream machine! 030
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 22/07/2026It’s not lack of effectiveness, it’s desperation for more activity to optimise it further. It’s user base is fading and that Counting Crows shit is all that’s happening so all it can do is reach. It’s not a recommendation, it’s a death rattle. 010
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 22/07/2026Lovely sounding and dynamic beast - can’t wait to start feeding Eurorack modulation into this thing. #synth #2xm 010
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 13/07/2026Some of that velcro adhesive is based on samples they recovered from Roswell. Nothing from this planet can remove it 👽 010
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 13/07/2026Not only is this ASM Hydrasynth one of my favourite #synths, this diddy version is battery powered so when the studio is hot like today I can go elsewhere for portable patch programming 020
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 10/07/2026Laying down some chonky beats this eve #studio #musicproduction 050
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 08/07/2026My Threads is wall to wall Count Binface. Why the fuck isn’t it like that here? 010
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 07/07/2026Finally got the Korg SDD-3300 delay unit in the racks. Here’s me playing around with a bouncy and weird patch using all three of the delay lines #weird #studio #FX 040
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 02/07/2026Saw email about this and bought immediately. Looking forward to giving it a listen. 010
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 22/06/2026*adopts Tom Baker voice* Britain. Britian. Britain Where we switch up Prime Ministers more often than we do Dr Who’s or James Bond’s. Hurrah! 000
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 20/06/2026You can control that for each - and talking of phase you can also put each of the LFOs out of phase too. 010
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 20/06/2026Three fully mixable delays with individual inputs and outputs, each with two LFOs and a high pass and low pass filter. Sound designer 80s dream - so why don’t we hear more about the Korg SDD-3300? #studio #fx 190
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 19/06/2026Been looking to get my hands on one of these for a while… 140
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 17/06/2026‘Jomox’ sounds like a great word for that though - as in: ‘Peter, did you study the schematic for that new unit or did you just totally jomox it again?’ 110
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 13/06/2026I hear the Black Forest is absolutely overrun with Kangaroos this time of year 😁 030
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 11/06/2026Been hanging out at a legendary studio today… 030

Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 03/06/2026If you listen very carefully, on the wind you can hear the spectres of hundred of Science Fiction writers whispering… ‘We fucking told you so!’ 030
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 01/06/2026The absolute fucking state of the the Guardian these days. It’s just clickbait nonsense since Rusbridger left. 040
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 01/06/2026He’s clearly playing ‘Putin’ On The Ritz’ there…. 030
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 31/05/2026I love it so much I gave it its own place in the studio #glitch #machine 030
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 30/05/2026Finally got around to properly trying out two things I’ve been meaning to - my custom Tubbutech MIDI controller and the 4ms Metamodule Polyphonic mode (still in beta). Both working very well! #synth #studio 020
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 30/05/2026Studio refresh = done. Mixing of next IHF album = begun. 060
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 29/05/2026Don’t stand too close to him and you’ll be just fine. 120
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 29/05/2026Long have I waited… …for a BOC album written pre-emptively about the current state of British weather 🔥👍 030
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 28/05/2026First stream from the new studio setup - watch me build an increasingly strange and expansive modular beat... #eurorack #liveelectronica open.substack.com/pub/invictus...open.substack.comLive with Invictus Hi-fiA recording from Invictus Hi-fi's live video 000
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 28/05/2026Thankfully sorting out the #studio video is far more easy than the audio side. Here’s a little test… 000
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 28/05/2026#ThrowbackThursday Back in early 2024 I released a track ‘The Winter Underground’ about the Soviet distortion of reality & needed a video. This coincided with the availability of early AI video tools that would hallucinate & warp footage. This is what happened next… 020
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 26/05/2026Yeah but we had to listen to the fucking Spin Doctors and some terrible Red Hot Chilli Peppers singles. At times nuclear fallout would have been preferable. 040
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 26/05/2026I think you may be right Lars, the world is noisy enough as it is right now and can see why people want a break! 000
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 26/05/2026Thanks - and yes, that was the plan! Essentially FX, Beats, Synths and old vintage stuff get their own areas. This may actually bring a bit more virtuous order to my normally chaotic and messy approach to production. Hopefully 😀 010
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 26/05/2026And finally, after a week and a bit. It is done. #studio #makeover 150
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 25/05/2026Oh I mean over the past few months but yes, fair point! 😁 010
Invictus HI-FI @invictushifi.bsky.social · 24/05/2026And finally - updates to the studio drums & FX rack. Excuse the fan noise but damn hot here today. New in - @ohmforce.bsky.social Bohm, which betters any Kick module I’ve used & Music Thing Workshop Computer - here running a very special 80s pitch and delay FX from the 70s. #beats #eurorack 020
