This tomb was already opened. Pic was taken on an ancient cell phone years ago. You can see that some kind folks have left offerings to the occupant(s) of this destroyed tomb in New Orleans #nola #grave #tomb #burial #cemetery #eerie #taboo #explore #hidden #bsky #creepy

2 panel photo "infomatic" titled "Caveau". Photo is of the inside of a tomb in New Orleans that was already opened. It's a tubular brick structure with a rectangular concrete frame at ground level, and apparently a dirt floor. Various debris is seen inside, including bricks, stones, dirt, pieces of concrete and clay. Possibly a human long bone and skull cap, but these details are not clear in this photo. A few dollars and coins lie just inside the tomb on the right hand side, presumably an offering to the displaced spirit or spirits that once occupied this grave.

Stop in to 9 W Cass in Joliet, IL and check out our newest exhibit...the WAJP radio station! #music #history #museum #bsky #photography #vintage #illinois #joliet #DoJo #artists #art #volunteer #chicago #musicians #album #rock Click into our website: roadtorock.org

a photo of a replica of the old radio station WAJP in Joliet, IL. Sound dampening panels, dingy with age, line the walls. "Radio Lane's" sign adorns the back wall. A large turntable is directly in front of the camera, a telephone on a shelf to the left. A portable speaker hangs on the far wall, above a reel-to-reel. Tapes sit on a shelf above another turntable, and a tall cabinet stands in the far corner housing all sorts of the electrical and musical devices needed for broadcasting.

In the basement of my favorite Downtown Joliet #DoJo location. 1929 building, currently undergoing renovations and improvements. #nikon #photography #resist #urbex #explore #bsky #havefun #smellykelly #JustAnotherHotMess

Photo in a dingy basement. We are inside a room, a large metal door to the right is open inward. We cannot see out of the room. A rusted coal shovel rests upright against the gray steel firedoor. A rusted metal cabinet hangs on the wall to the left, the cabinet door is open exposing a shallow shelf with various unidentified objects resting on it. Lighting is from the right, outside of this room, providing deep shadows

The Illinois Rock & Roll Museum in Joliet is in its infancy. Progress was slowed by COVID and a tornado. But it has a lot of cool artifacts and information on the Illinois music scene and a lot of promise for what it can be. No one was there. Stop by. Make a donation... 1/

This week, we discussed messages from the dead. I shared some decidedly personal experiences of my own, and I did not realize going into it how hard it would hit me. If it sounds like I'm holding back tears while telling those stories, it's because I am. linktr.ee/wednesdaystalk

Drive-in theaters always remind me of the movie The Outsiders! I need to get back to this location and see if I can get more information from this machine, like the full model number so I can make a more complete history of it. @hellaobscura.bsky.social @karaphilip.bsky.social #resist #bluesky

photograph of an old drive-in movie theater projector. It was found forgotten in storage at a derelict drive-in. It's an aqua colored Christie machine attached to an International Projector Corp Super Simplex projector, circa 1950s but I don't have the exact model/dates right now. It's in rundown condition, unlikely to be functional in its current state.

We made Ufological history. You’ve never heard this story before. I guarantee it. In Oakdale cemetery sits 2 gravestones with a bold claim. “Deceased had contacts and conversations with outer space life”. What’s the story behind these claims? We have the answer.
