![[Whale watching comic]
A boy and his father look out to sea where a whale's tail can be seen submerging.
The father speaks: "At least when the planet has fried, or civilization washed away by storms and floods; when nations have been wiped off the map in endless cycles of righteous retaliation; when their hapless, homeless survivors fear life more than death, we can proudly say: we stayed silent, for social cohesion."](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:llz3ycbbx2wqhsoynennma32/bafkreie3ybvvy6p45iaun2vpfa2rotpk7tf5ui4guk6clz7wdxiks3iot4)
