I think you need to know very early 80’s music to get this one.

Is this one of those that didn’t have a clutch and you had to listen to the engine revving noise to determine when to shift gears?

Painting featuring a lone cyclist riding across a bridge as dark clouds approach. In the foreground in a building with a lot of industrial-looking stuff laying around it, and a dog.

I’ve had to retire early due to exactly this. AI replaces experience in the knowledge economy (finance, IT, comms, HR, risk, etc) apparently. So the thinking is that a new to career worker can now perform at the level of a more seasoned professional. Let’s see how this rolls out.

The Museum of Fine Arts Houston has announced its acquisition of Tamara de Lempicka's 1923 painting "Her Sadness"! Until this year, the work had remained in the same family for 90 years.
A long, narrow painting of an unsmiling, white-skinned woman with straight red hair (cut off at about ear length) wearing dark clothing and a tan winter scarf, against an outdoor background with a leafless tree, and a tumble of buildings. She stands sideways such that the viewer sees one hand almost entirely within the pocket of the woman's skirt or pants. She turns toward the viewer so as to offer a 3/4 view of her face.

'The Rowing Boat.' (c1920) William John Leach often painted works capturing a fleeting moment in bold, vibrant colour. Despite the title, it wasn't the small rowing boat that inspired him but the shadows on the bend in the river and the dramatic dark and light in the water.
