like, idk for sure if i’ll get into this game as much as Zelda because RPGs can be hard for me but this is a special game world. feels lovingly hand-crafted and carefully designed to reward discovery and experimentation. really the best kind of thing an open world can do!

before playing it i wrote Crimson Desert off as an overambitious game with an abundance of shallow content, but actually if you can look past the generic style and familiar systems, you’ll find the best-designed open world since Breath of the Wild

i will start. lately i have been obsessed with Baby Steps and also Mirror’s Edge, two movement based games with vastly different paces. the former is one of the best games i’ve ever played, Elden Ring meets Getting Over It. the latter is pretty good too and very fun to speedrun

i think Baby Steps is one of the best games i’ve ever played. like genuinely some of the best open world level design i’ve ever seen and i can’t stop thinking about its movement system, how simple and silly it seems on the surface and how deep and rewarding it can actually be
