There are designers who are incredibly talented, and then there are designers who make the whole industry better by sharing what they know. Diana Wagenbach of @studiow_chicago is one of those people. She is generous with her knowledge, thoughtful about business, and always willing to help other desi

A packed showroom does not automatically mean a successful educational event. Interior designers are hungry for information they can actually use in their businesses, pricing, contracts, difficult client conversations, hiring, systems, profitability, vendor relationships, and scaling. They are als

I came home from Chicago feeling awful, and it got me thinking about how much people in this industry carry while still showing up. We show up sick. Tired. Hungry. Scared. Grieving. Overwhelmed. Worried about money. Worried about family. Worried about what comes next. And most of the time, nobody

Every small business needs a fraud protocol before they actually need one. Mine would include this: multi-factor authentication everywhere, unique passwords, no clicking unexpected financial links, no changing payment instructions based solely on an email, and no wire transfers without independent

Your email account can be the doorway into your entire business. Once someone gets access, they may be able to see who owes you money, who you owe money to, how you write, what projects you are working on and which vendors your team trusts. That information can make a fraudulent request incredibly

Small business owners, this is how one email can turn into a very expensive problem. Fraudsters are not always trying to trick you into sending money immediately. Sometimes they are trying to get into your email first, learn how your business works, watch your conversations, identify your clients a
