Honestly, I don’t care who either of them end up with (I’m not sure) or if their relationship is somewhat concerning since it’s enveloped with a good amount of trauma, I will be shipping them. 😤

Agents of the four seasons anime is out! What a beautiful first episode with magical animation & an outline for an intriguing story! I’ve only had the chance to read some of the manga so I’m ready to see more of this story unfold! The characters, plot, & world are captivating!

OMG episode 13 of Tamon’s B-side was SO AMAZING!!! I loved the craziness! I NEED a season 2!!! & fyi, I will NOT take ANYONE blaming the fans if it doesn’t get announced soon. It’s just wrong and disrespectful. The amount of love and attention this anime has gotten is insane!

You see, I was trying to understand the Franchela haters because I’d probably be mad if they changed my favorite manga in the anime, BUT Bridgeton was never that faithful AND if they changed my fav ship into lesbians I would probably eat that up so… 🤭

Someone take my phone away! I can’t stop watching franchaela edits!!! I’m actually so excited for their season! I need it!

We're still working hard on the Akatsuki no Yona Gaiden chapter! It officially released in Japan today, so be careful of spoilers. We expect to release it either tomorrow (Friday) or Saturday! I know a lot of people are very excited about this chapter, so until then, here's the color page!

In case anyone was wondering how it’s going over on American Girl doll Instagram

User @backintimeag:
The text “Kirsten will be happy when ICE gets the fuck out of Minnesota” over a picture of 1850s immigrant and Minnesota-dwelling doll character Kirsten Larson in the snow.

“YOTD could’ve been shonen” While technically that’s possible, YOTD is a quintessential shojo manga. The action, adventure, fantasy, romantic side plot, character depth, politics, art, etc feel reminiscent of prior shojo series in the best way. Being for girls allowed for its many amazing qualities

Y’all the first episode was actually AMAZING! Obviously I read the manga so I already love this series, but the animation, the comedy so on point, the songs & dance?!?!? We do not get adaptations like this often… oh I am SOOOOO EXCITED you don’t even know! I’m so happy!

I also think it’s fun for her to not only learn of other cultures and landscapes but for her to also share her own with others! Her moments with the twins are so fun!

This moment with Talas always hits me! I truly love her character & despite the hardships to come it’s wonderful seeing her explore & go after who she wants after all the loss she went through. She shows so much kindness, determination, resourcefulness, strength & devotion!

So sad that the two manga with the MOST ROMANTIC confessions ever written ended recently… 😖💔 what will I do without these lovely heartfelt moments?!

050

Emma 🍉 cr: Land of the Lustrous @interestingishfae.bsky.social · 28/12/2025

Yeah I still think they’re interesting! It is a lot of Youko’s monologue & I think the anime even expressed her internal thoughts really well, the monkey-like man helped with that! Based on what I’ve read so far the anime just seems to be a good adaptation of it!

I was surprised at first but honestly while they had their purpose they didn’t feel like I was missing any characters. If anything I liked having a major character that didn’t automatically known the language, but without them, when Youko met the old man it hit harder!

I finally decided to read the Twelve Kingdoms novels, & it’s amazing! The audiobook too! The anime is one of my favorites & is accurate to the novels so far (as of Shadow of the Moon, Shadow of the Sea, Part 1) except the novel lacks Asano & Sugimoto is a minor very character. -

I am very satisfied with the ending! The characters got such amazing endings that fit them, especially our lovely Hinako! Also, Tenkiku shedding his sister’s appearance on stage was REALLY important! I can’t wait to reread this story all over again!

Another phenomenal manga, Namida Ame to Serenade, has ended… This story quickly became one of my favorites! I loved so many characters, the complex & deep backstories, the plot in itself, & all of the intense yearning! I just realized I’ve been reading this manga for 5 years! Time really flew by!

Emma 🍉 cr: Land of the Lustrous @interestingishfae.bsky.social · 23/12/2025

My four favorite YOTD characters if I HAD to choose! I’m obviously OBSESSED with a lot of them, especially the HHB members (LOVE Gija, Shin-ah, Jae-ha, & Ao) & the other female characters, but YONA, Soo-won, Zeno, and Yoon just have a special place in my heart & they’re just so interesting to me!

Emma 🍉 cr: Land of the Lustrous @interestingishfae.bsky.social · 21/12/2025

In a way, many YOTD characters ended up back where they started, despite that so much has changed. They have new knowledge, a better understanding of themselves & each other, are free from a cycle of reincarnation, a kingdom with safer & happier citizens, & a new family they can always return to.

A lil edit for YOTD’s final chapter These characters created a better home for Kouka citizens (and others too) while creating a found family! Whatever they do in the future they will always find a home w/each other & be a family! Ofc some relationships are still repairing but that takes time❤️‍🩹

If I’m being honest when I heard people were hoping for a wedding I kinda thought the opposite? I feel like now that we know they’ll stay together forever, love and cherish each other, and he proposed that was just unnecessary! I love how this ending focused on Yona and her journey to come!

OMG!!! A Star Brighter than the Sun is getting a season 2?!? I just finished the season & I was smiling like CRAZY! They’re so adorable & in love! Any romance fan should definitely check it out! It has an ADORABLE couple, with amazing animation, and even a great English dub! 🌟

Spoilers . Also while the group is separating, they have a connection that goes beyond blood ties & they’ll meet again. I think it’s right that they go back to the villages the original dragon warriors created. It’s full circle & now that the cycle has been broken, there’s more room for change.

110

Emma 🍉 cr: Land of the Lustrous @interestingishfae.bsky.social · 18/12/2025

Spoilers . Yona is the queen! I know she has her fears now that she’s not connected to the crimson dragon but she has love & determination for her people! She’s perfect for it & has strong allies now (Hak, the “dragon” warriors, Yoon, Soowon, Kouren, the tribe leaders, etc)! It’s so deserved!

110

Emma 🍉 cr: Land of the Lustrous @interestingishfae.bsky.social · 18/12/2025

Spoilers . Ofc Yoon has to see Iksoo but he’ll be coming back soon! He’s always had clear desires & I’m ECSTATIC he’s going to fulfill them! They’re my favorite friendship in this series so seeing him fulfill his dreams, while trying to become Yona’s physician, & her crying?! Oh now I’m crying! 😭

110

Emma 🍉 cr: Land of the Lustrous @interestingishfae.bsky.social · 18/12/2025

Spoilers . We love a good Hak & Yona moment, she is adorable blushing, they’re so in love, but THIS moment?! Yeah marriage can wait a bit, Hak needs Yona as Queen to be seared into everyone’s minds so they can’t even doubt it for ONE moment! I love that! This moment is for her! Love him for that!

Emma 🍉 cr: Land of the Lustrous @interestingishfae.bsky.social · 18/12/2025

Spoilers . Seeing all of the Happy Hungry Bunch together again was everything! Shin-ah’s eyes being SO different was a shock! Overall, I’m happy they’re all doing what they want but it hurts a bit! Shin-ah’s so kind to people who hated him… & I’m happy Gija will see his grandma again!

110

Emma 🍉 cr: Land of the Lustrous @interestingishfae.bsky.social · 18/12/2025

I don’t think Soowon thinks it was wrong because OF King Il but because of how important Yona & Hak are to the kingdom & himself. He completely uprooted Yona & Hak’s lives. He also pushed a lot of resentment onto Yona (both from Il & the gods), so this apology or recognition was very important.
