When I saw the #showmeyourknits prompt this week, I realized how little purple I use. But there is some in this variation on Alice Starmore’s Eagle Collar (I called mine a “corvid collar” & used as part of a Halloween costume.) Loving seeing everyone else’s regal shades of purple!
A knitted collar made of feather shaped pieces layered on top of each other in a staggered fashion. It is mostly black with some very dark blue. Some of the feathers are tipped in purple, silvery grey, and shiny dark blue, kind of like the iridescence in a crow’s feathers.

Picked up a project that’s been sitting in a bag for nine months. Refracta Sweater by Zanete Knits. Interested to see how this one turns out! #knitsky
Beginnings of a patterned sweater yoke with a pattern in a turquoise gradient on a light gray vase.

I have been getting a lot of joy from all of the #knitsky #showmeyourknits posts, so I thought I would make one of my own. This is Rain or Shine by Stephen West/Westknits. I have knit more than one b/c I live in fear of yarn chicken & always have orphan skeins about. This is a great way to use them!
A brightly colored hand-knit sweater. Pattern is textured horizontal stripes in colors ranging from yellows to golds to blues to pinks to greys and back around again. Sweater is resting on a gridded blocking mat, almost done drying.A close up of the texture and pattern on the sweater. Horizontal garter stitch stripes are broken up by vertical slipped stitches that give the fabric a bit of a honeycomb feel. Colors shift from yellows to golds to blues to pinks to greys and back around again. Fabric looks squishy and bouncy to the touch.
