because my old twitter account m_eeat was deactivated the only proof of this conversation is the message I had written on discord before I had private messaged him on twitter and the response I had gotten afterwards.

A discord screenshot of a message sent on 5/25/23 at 9:41 PM. It reads:
"yeah same"
"okay should I just message it with this"
"Hey, I know we've barely talked if at all on here and I wanna approach this in good faith but is there anything going on between you and [the victim]? I'm mainly worried bc they're a minor and it's struck me as a little odd that you've paired your ocs together and I wasn't sure if it was purely platonic or not. the last thing I want to do is be very accusatory about this so I apologize for bringing it up but it's been bothering me for quite some time and I at least want some clarification that nothing else is happening."

screenshot of a twitter direct message from Red that reads :
"after talking to a friend about this, im going to dial back with it, i wasn't too knowledgeable on how qprs work and that it was weird to be in one with a minor, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE CONCERN, im still new to aromantic terms and all of that but i'm going to be more safer about it"

Looking at discourse wrt display server protocols just feels like this xkcd comic unironically and you're supposed to pretend that the people most heated about this aren't completely fucking insufferable

comic by xkcd comprising of only 3 panels.
Title : How Standards Proliferate : ( See: A/C Chargers, Character Encodings, Instant Messaging, Etc)

Panel 1 - Situation : There are 14 competing standards.

Panel 2 - Two stick figures standing opposite of each other, the figure on the right drawn with a ponytail.

Left : "14?! Ridiculous! We need to develop one universal standard that covers everyone's use cases.

Right : "Yeah!"

Panel 3 - Situation : There are 15 competing standards

Me when I want to kill my blogging platform because I am bored

Screenshot from the official tumblr account. It reads :

Reblogs in a chain now get their own notes
The reblog chain is one of the things that makes Tumblr unlike anywhere else. All the notes on reblogs are attributed to the original post, no matter which branch people actually liked or reblogged. We want to keep encouraging conversations, and give contributors the recognition they deserve.

Soon, you'll be able to like, reblog, or reply to any part of a reblog chain, and that note will go to that reblog's author. Each reblog will have its own counts, instead of one aggregated number from every version of the post. And yes, you’ll be able to like multiple posts in one chain.

If a reblog doesn't add anything, the love flows up to the last person in the chain who did. Your post doesn't lose notes just because people spread it quietly.

Past notes will stay on the original post — we're only changing what happens from here on out. Retroactively re-attributing all of them would be... a lot.

This is just the beginning. More changes are coming as we keep building this out – stay tuned!
