On a related note, everyone almost missed out on the best panel I've done in a long while.

A giant tentacled alligator-thing carrying various weapons and a smiling zombie head walks through a panel. Atop him perch a bird, a pink floating insect, and a rabbit in a little hat. All three of these little beings in chanting "werewolf hunt!" in color coded dialogue.
Walking alongside the alligator is a blue man with strange eyes and an octopus arm. He says, "Listen to them, the children of the night. What beautiful music they make."

I've had a busy summer, which might not be enough of an excuse for not realizing my story is a finalist in the 2025 Baen Fantasy Adventure Award. (They sent me an email like a month ago.) Circumstances have necessitated the humblest of brags.

Reading through some old comics. I might have peaked at "Unrelated Cat Vendetta."

Three panel comic in which the action takes a backseat to the narrator deciding that "unrelated cat vendetta" would make a pretty good band name.

Doing some editing. I really like this sequence. My favorite things that I write are silly thoughts in people's heads.

A group of buff, rowdy men had never bowed to Desma before. She was surprised at the head rush it gave her. Did she have a type? Was her type buff, rowdy men?
Then she looked at True and remembered that she was actually into people who called her princess and pledged to fight for her.
“Princess, we pledge our swords to you,” Wolfram said.
Damn. There was that head rush again.
