When her mother passed due to an illness at age 12, she fell even more depressed. She was then going through so many orphanages, due to it not working out ever. Now, her time at UA, she is one of the students who is more quiet, less bubbly and more introverted. ++

Seeing as she had to rely on her quirkless mother for help when she didn't want that in the first place. From an early on age, Mika showed signs of her quirk, insomniac. While most kids needed sleep, she could go continuous nights without sleeping, which isn't healthy. ++
