A random fact about me: When I used to play in a soul band in Southampton, while soloing on the organ during The Theme From Peter Gunn, I would often throw in a quote from the Alton Towers Nemesis rollercoaster music.

I love it when clouds cast shadows on themselves!

A very orange bank of sunrise cloud, filling the frame. Two pieces of the cloud are casting shadows on the rest of it - very long shadows, extending up and to the right across the orange.

Just notated my 2nd piano solo in Dorico. It's easier than Sibelius, though it has some quirks I need to get used to. I'm working towards a 2nd volume of piano music; I'm not sure when it will be published. The first one, by the way, is here: www.lulu.com/shop/mike-to... #piano #SheetMusic

I just thought it looked like that transformer on the electricity pole was conducting... as well as conducting.

A sunset sky with several large clouds and loads of golden colour. In black silhouette, we see a number of straw bales left over from the harvest, and an electricity pole. On the pole is a transformer that seems to have an arm pointing out over the bales.

A caption at the bottom reads "Electric Light Orchestra".

Sunrise this morning. Sky colours like this tend to last for no more than two minutes, and you have to be quick! You get more time in the winter though, since the Sun is moving at a shallower angle so the conditions take longer to change.

A sky filled with cloud with very few breaks but finely textured, bathed in deep orange sunlight. A black silhouetted horizon made of treeline is in the bottom quarter of the image.

Heard this quote today on Goonpod. "Beauty became utility; joy became laughter; creation became labor; art became productive; and man became machine. It is this disaster that some would define as progress." — James Drought, writing in the 1965 novel, "Drugoth, Biography of a Private Person".

A rare literary effort from today. I don't write much poetry these days... I hope you like it. #Poetry

Poem entitled: "Petals Blowing":

Bubbles in a pebbledashed bourne;
Notes cast by joy, leaping
Each over the other, and over,
Sketch the contours of her wraith.

Thus my assailant in ambush
Slapped my mind soft, my ears
Ringing in recollection of
Warm words once woven.

Our souls seemed acquainted in antiquity,
But parted somewhere long past.
In foreign timeline, perhaps, my love;
On this Earth, a friend, fenced off.

Mere weeks passed before dark came
To bear her from the world;
Yet her spirit uses her art,
To tease my wondering heart.
