Whelp I gotta learn a faster route now because what was that?????

040

ins0mnia (May) @ins0mnia.bsky.social · 31/07/2026

Nearly closed out a 55:xx, instead the final boss double tapped me turn 1 and lost >2m. Still a nearly 2m pb and a big step up in a lot of execution areas!

ins0mnia (May) @ins0mnia.bsky.social · 29/07/2026

Sub hour attained, then nearly skipped straight to 56 on the runback. Will keep at it and try to get a 56/57 over the next week or two! After PAX I might try dropping thief shrine and go for a 55/54 but that depends on how fun gambling remains.

040

ins0mnia (May) @ins0mnia.bsky.social · 28/07/2026

Missed the sub hour to two unwinnable plains drakes, but we are getting there! 58, maybe 57 with a really good run.

040

ins0mnia (May) @ins0mnia.bsky.social · 26/07/2026

So turns out the rng last pb wasn't that amazing, good movement just leads to less encounters. My splitter showed up so this pb was hard carried by the lack of a quarter second delay. Sub hour soon!

020

ins0mnia (May) @ins0mnia.bsky.social · 26/07/2026

Casual 21 min pb.... Deathless and with next to no random encounters from Tressa on, really happy with this one as a submission and a starting point to push for sub hour in the coming weeks.

060

ins0mnia (May) @ins0mnia.bsky.social · 25/07/2026

Finished a run of octopath for pax submissions, will try and get it down a bit more tomorrow before the deadline. This like like 8+ mins to the final boss so just don't do that low-key. This was also on a quarter second delay because I'm using an el cheapo and the splitter hasn't arrived so ez pb

Trying to learn a run in a week when suffering from post ASM deathitis and having my lovely wife here is kinda hard it turns out. Making good progress as long as it doesn't turn into super deathitis

060

ins0mnia (May) @ins0mnia.bsky.social · 20/07/2026

Wife detected!!!!!! (and me yapping, was very fun!)

ins0mnia (May) @ins0mnia.bsky.social · 20/07/2026

ASM done (but another 10 days of wife time), and it was a blast yet again! Always so nice seeing so many friends, and as always it went by way too quickly. It has definitely got me wanting to try to run something again (looking at octopath) to submit to pax

070

ins0mnia (May) @ins0mnia.bsky.social · 04/06/2026

I've been watching the LCK with friends and it makes me wish we had 10 of us to actually do proper 5v5s with fearless draft casually. Alas the ppl who play I know are mostly overseas and 300 ping isn't the vibe.

ins0mnia (May) @ins0mnia.bsky.social · 04/06/2026

Don't really have anything big to say for pride month but keep being yourself and surrounding yourself with people who love you for who you are. It's definitely not the easiest time to fall under the queer umbrella, trans especially, but having comfort in yourself and one another makes it worth it.

E33 thoughts Great game that is more or less ruined for me by the dodge/parry mechanic. Press a button and be invulnerable to all damage kinda makes actually engaging with the (very cool) mechanics each character has because if you can press the take no damage button ur at no risk of losing anyway

I always forget to post about these things but I'm Melbourne for PAX! Met a couple of cool people at ACMI today too which was pleasant surprise. In a touch under 18h Vi and I will be running HK Blackout TE Rando for ASAP! Very excited, and it will be streamed on the AusSpeedruns twitch as usual

1101

ins0mnia (May) @ins0mnia.bsky.social · 05/10/2025

I'm out of town so won't be in this one, but it's a stacked event, tune in if you can. Special mention to the plando at the end too, I was fortunate enough to play test it and it's poised to be a blast

010

ins0mnia (May) @ins0mnia.bsky.social · 14/09/2025

NGL gang silksong TE is hard. Thankfully its also sick as hell so that makes it worth the slog. It will be a million times more manageable with better debug tools and videos of a finished run but I'm also not under any time pressure so I can take it slow

430

ins0mnia (May) @ins0mnia.bsky.social · 11/09/2025

I really hope true ending runs for silksong end up not being held down by quests requirements because it is such a fun game to move around and fight in, it's just the category that actually interests me seems like it's going to have a ton of filler atp

260

ins0mnia (May) @ins0mnia.bsky.social · 27/08/2025

Finished the DLC and All Achievements for Crosscode! Top 3 game for me, and my hands took it very well. It's definitely a game I am eager to run once the Skong hype dies down, especially if it's not something I end up playing in a sr context. Hard, but that makes it a good long term thing

040

ins0mnia (May) @ins0mnia.bsky.social · 19/08/2025

"If you see this, quote this post with 10 games to get to know you by" FUN ONE okay: 1. Hollow Knight 2. CrossCode 3. Super Metroid 4. Bloodborne 5. Outer Wilds 6. PMD Explorers of Sky 7. Super Smash Bros. Melee 8. Divinity Original Sin 2 9. Fallout: New Vegas 10. Portal 2

Idk how the Isle of Man TT is still running but I am not complaining. Coming from the safety standards of F1 and seeing wheelie bins and stone walls lining the sides of the circuit is just mind blowing, all on a sidecar averaging like 180kph

Speedrunners love to put "Best Possible Time" in their splits but then you watch them and they're having the worst possible time.

HK8Y complete! Favourite one yet, had an absolute blast. The plando was an obvious highlight but the last minute SPINACH% run vs Vi was also super fun! The silksong trailer was also amazing, shoutouts to everyone who makes events like this possible <3

ins0mnia (May) @ins0mnia.bsky.social · 20/02/2025

Twitch's change to highlights is short sighted and a blow to speedrunners. I am feeling lucky I used highlights solely as a way to trim videos then export them to YouTube. Even then having them in 2 places was nice, and that will have to stop. I'm at 93h so thankfully don't have to comb thru it all

ins0mnia (May) @ins0mnia.bsky.social · 20/02/2025

In a little shy of 7h from this post I will be racing in the 2v2 plando race! It will be streamed on hollowknightcommunity on Twitch and should be a super good race. It will be using foolish+ logic settings, which means we should see a bunch of unique and interesting skips and sequence breaks!
