The only way we can defend our parks at this point is to protest. Take to the streets and protest like your lives and loved ones depend on it. Because they do

Absolutely excited to be entering an era of record breaking hate speech instances and degeneracy making me want to curl up and scream waiting to know just how bad it could possibly get and hoping for an end in sight. Everything is lost. Everything is pain. Please take care of me and everyone else.

The best transit I’ve used so far has the be the L in Chicago. So easy to use and I wish we had back home :(

A shitload of conservative accounts are flooding bluesky because they have no one to argue with on twitter. Block them and move on. Do not engage. Simply wait for the inevitable thinkpiece where they are qouter whining that no one will argue with them and that makes them sad.

I want to love it- but I can’t. Still needs more time to be able to support what I need it to be. And until the shamefully proprietary software I use is supported on it, I don’t have the choice of using it daily.

With 3 + 4 around the corner, maybe it’s a good time to replay 1 + 2 so I’m refreshed on everything :3

I cannot emphasize this enough. We defeat trolls by blocking, not responding. Just say no! Let’s keep this platform clean and useful.

Step 1: Elon takes over Twitter, unbans and amplifies the worst white nationalist posters, methodically turns it into a right wing echo chamber. Step 2: Users who aren’t white nationalists or MAGA extremists leave for Bluesky en masse. Step 3: op-ed columnists fret, “is Bluesky an echo chamber?”

Blocking Nazis, trolls, and fascists doesn’t make it an “echo chamber.” People need to stop gaslighting us into thinking we have to listen to Nazis and debate trolls in order to be informed.

I made an account during the invite only period but I made my commit when musk changed how blocks work. Last straw- and one of way too many

I’ve committed to the switch a few weeks ago. A lot of my mutuals are slowly trickling over. It was very nice to get rid of Twitter at last.

Oh, and one last thing? If Apple actually let people run Mac OS on the iPad pro, I would probably buy one. I long a netbook-sized computer with the power to do everything I need which could be docked like my laptop. But they continue to arbitrarily separate iPad OS and Mac OS. And I know why.

listen, y'all. this right here is what makes it obvious the media is in the tank for trump. he is either a moron who doesn't understand tariffs, or he is lying. if media were functioning normally, this would be a huge story.

It is so, so bizarre that the core of Trump’s policy agenda is based on just lying about how tariffs work at the most basic, 101 level imaginable. It’s not controversial. It’s not even complicated. It’s just a lie. It’s like saying income taxes are paid by leprechauns.

Truth Social post in which Trump lies about how tariffs work.

I’m happy to see you here! It’s not perfect yet, but it’s nice to see a platform that is generally constructive. Unlike Twitter, there isn’t as much hateful discourse and communal dissent served to you by a primarily right wing algorithm. Has helped with my anxiety a lot.

I fucking love the tech world but it also drives my anxiety to the max. It’s all I talk about yet it’s also most what scares me. I’m scared everyday of what our innovation is going to bring to our society. The negativity I see throughout the internet makes me anxious of the malicious potential.
