A serviceable cover is done! This might get updated by the time we release the book, but this will definitely do for promotions and such until then.
Cover art for APOSCHEDIOSIS by the Inmara Fenumera, depicting a webcomic character dashing through a portal and transitioning from male to female as she passes through it.

Cover art illustration for APOSCHÉDIOSIS, our current hottest WIP.
A digitally inked illustration of a cartoon person running through a field of splattery halftone screens and scribbles. Their trailing limbs are clad in long sleeves and pants, in a masculine clothing style. Their head, upper torso, and leading limbs, on the other side of the field, are femininely clad and groomed. It's as if this person is magically transitioning by leaping through a portal. Signed by the Inmara, 2026.10.17

It was going to be a 12 page picture book. We got three pages done before we burnt out and then lost the script. The story is essentially: Eh had 900,000 children, and to protect them from a chaotic universe Eh made a world out of Ihn's own body. There's more, but, that's what's here.

Here's some artwork that is bigger than your monitors' resolution. All copyright us, of course. Handcrated, too! Every detail. Even if it is ultimately computer rendered.
Belnder rendering of a neighborhood in Fikwakyet on the Sunspot, the generational Starship in the Inmara's SUNSPOT CHRONICLES. Depict is a view from between two houses looking at the aft endcap of the habitat cylinder. Visible between purple trees and other houses, there is a body of water surrounded by hilly islands, with an aircraft flying overhead. The curvature of the cylinder can be seen in the land and water in the distance.Blender redering of a green dragon flying over the purple forests of the Sunspot, a generational starship from the Inmara's SUNSPOT CHRONICLES. The dragon is watching the daily sun emerge from the forward endcap of the ship's habitat cylinder. The full curvature of the cylinder is visible with rivers, a sea, forests, plains, and mountains all partially shrouded with cloud cover. There are spokes rising from the land to meet in a ring of meganets in the center of the cylinder, creating a magnetic bottle for the sun to move through without damaging the ship.Blender rendering of a forest pathway aboard the Sunspot, a generational starship from the Inmara's SUNSPOT CHRONICLES, depicting a violet moss-covered path winding through dark purple folliate with tangles of old-growth trees riding high above the viewer. Strange fungus can be seen growing near the edges of the trail, and there is a small rotten log lying on the path. Everything is gargantuan in comparison to the viewer. The tree leaves in the canopy range from pink to indigo in color. There are some green mosses seen in areas that are reliably shaded from the sun.

Two weeks into October, and we've already surpassed 50k words. Whatever you call November anymore, this is the first year where we've met the goal 18 days before the event starts. Maybe we'll spend the month editing? Or, just writing a different book.

We just updated Ni'a's gravatar to better reflect who they are. It's an actual portrait of them as their character in our stories. In reality, in our head, they just look like a very young version of our body, but this version of them is pleasing to them anyway. Sad thing is, they don't front much

OK, here's our workspace! Most of the computer equipment is either 11 years old, purchased with a stimulus check, or a gift. Note the two ADHD mugs and the fursona.
A photo of the Inmara's work space, a desk and gaming chair in a poorly lit corner, surrounded by artwork, with two monitors, two mugs, a doll, and various nick-nacks. The chair and two pieces of artwork provide most of the color, red and black, which is not actually the Inmara's favorite color combination. They low key hate it and wish they were surrounded by more green.

Sharing this from our headmate's tumblr because it's a thing that could be talked about here, too. On blushing. And why are you all are so fixated on it. The full post is also in the alt text, if you like.
The way that so many people are fixated on blushing (and can even perceive when someone is actually blushing) is one of those top things that makes us feel like we are on an alien planet.

This isn't to say that our body hasn't blushed. Just, that also makes us feel alien. Because it happens very rarely, and almost never at the times that people are expecting a blush, and it makes it feel even less like our body and more like some kind of malfunctioning suit when it does so.

But also, we rarely see blushes in real life as often as they're depicted in comics and stories. People will make an embarrassed looking face, but blood doesn't rush to it. At least, not in a way that is visible to us. But even when the person isn't making any sort of a face, all the humans around them will occasionally point and laugh and say, "you're blushing," when, to us, there is no blush. Clearly, it holds a cultural significance that is greater than its actual occurrence.

Finally, when a blush is depicted in a comic or story, fan comments will always point it out and talk about their own experiences with blushing, and call it cute.

And we just don't get it.

We do not have the same emotional reaction.

Everyone here, on this planet, is weird.

Sometimes we feel like we're surrounded by mammals.

It would never park here, because it doesn't exist in the Milky Way (it's canonically Andromedan). But this is what it would look like from Earth if it was at L1. We're pretty sure this megastructure is only remotely possible with magic alien technology, but other sci-fi stories have done worse.
