I have those, and found a small damp patch on my leg when I got in which came from a tiny split. Not sure how it happened; I shall be applying duct tape when I get home.

Ah, so it turns out that the 10k yesterday was actually 9.7k, because they measured it short 🤦‍♀️ Thing is, I knew my time was a bit quick, so I was already wondering 🤔 Ho hum, hopefully they'll do better next time!

There was almost certainly something beforehand, but I remember listening to a radio play about a lost spaceship where the crew resorted to cannibalism to survive whilst staying in a remote Welsh cottage in the middle of nowhere and being too scared to sleep. 😬

I think it was the third, or possibly the second person I spoke to who said I could do that, but the third wasn't trained on the booking system and the fourth just asked me for a phone number. I then found a missed call from when I was somewhere without a signal. I want to lie down.

I don't get a free one yet (not old enough) but we get offered them from work, and this year I have reasons to do it. A certain large pharmacy chain (homonym = shoes) is an absolute shit show. It's not their fault, but I can totally see why people don't bother.

Trying to book a flu jab with a voucher from work. Login didn't work on corporate account. I have spoken to 4 different people and listened to 2 different lots of hold music (the second was Mozart). 45 minutes! And I still have to wait for someone to call me back. #headdesk

I could, conceivably, also bring them to work/on the bus etc. I made a pair last year that took about 2-3 months, on and off, whilst also making squares for my cardigan that I finished over the winter. If I get self-striping yarn then I don't even need to bring more than one ball!

Someone did a deep dive into this when it first closed, and it was something to do with the tension-wires potentially resonating at a destructive frequency if people kept using it, if I remember rightly. Basically, it won't fall down if it isn't used, which isn't helpful.

I had someone misspell my surname as "West" the other day, and I still don't know how. The only thing I can think of was he was using some sort of dictation software, in which case West/Guest might be a possibility if he was mumbling.

Quite! I think my Dad's TV was pretty small; this would have been when I was a student, during the Iron Age. It was amazing to see it at the cinema; I noticed all sorts of details I had not spotted before.
