Thanks for sharing! Is Facebook where you find most of your readers naturally engage with you, or is it simply the platform you've found easiest to keep updated?

That sounds like a great vision for a website. Showcasing your artwork alongside updates about Galaxy Zento and the RPG would give visitors a reason to keep coming back, rather than just stopping by once. It sounds like you've got a really interesting universe you're continuing to build.

No worries at all! That's unfortunate. If you're still looking for a beta reader, I'd be happy to take a look. You could always send it as a PDF, Word document, or through Google Docs if that works for you.

I understand. One thing I've noticed is that it helps when your website becomes the place readers expect to visit for updates, bonus content, or your newsletter, rather than just a page with book links. It gives them a reason to come back.

I can relate to that. Building a website is one step, but encouraging readers to visit it consistently is a whole different challenge. Have you found any strategies that have worked well for you so far?

That tagline is incredibly compelling. What inspired you to tell Katherine Parr's story from this perspective?

Quick question for authors: When a reader finishes one of your books and wants to learn more about you, where do you send them? 📚 Amazon 🌐 Your website 📱 Social media 📧 Newsletter 🔗 Linktree I'm always interested in seeing how authors build connections with their readers.

Authors, what's the one page on your website that you think every reader should visit first? If you don't have a website yet, what page would you create first? 📚 About Me 📖 My Books 📰 Newsletter ✍️ Blog 🎁 Free Reader Bonus I'd love to hear your thoughts.

You're definitely not alone. A lot of authors feel the same way, especially with how quickly technology changes. The fact that you gave Wix a try already says a lot. If you could have a website exactly the way you wanted it, what would you want it to do for you besides showcase your books?

I really like that approach. Writing the stories you wanted to read is a genuinely creative motivation, and it's great that your series has grown to include diverse representation across the books.1/2

Congratulations! That's fantastic feedback, especially from someone who doesn't normally read that type of book. Do you have an author website where readers can stay updated on the release?

inksl-inger.bsky.social @inksl-inger.bsky.social · 25/06/2026
I agree. Reading broadly exposes us to different perspectives, voices, and storytelling approaches. Even when we're writing within a specific genre, there's a lot we can learn from books outside our usual reading habits.

Authors, Do you have an author website yet, or is it still on your to-do list? If you don't have one, what's the biggest reason? • Cost • Time • Not sure where to start • Don't think you need one I'd love to hear your thoughts. #WritingCommunity #AuthorCommunity #IndieAuthor #BookMarketing

Authors, quick question: If social media disappeared tomorrow, how would readers find you? A website? An email list? Retailer pages? Something else? Curious to hear how everyone is building their author platform. #WritingCommunity #AmWriting #IndieAuthor #AuthorLife

I completely understand. Many authors put it off because they assume it's expensive or complicated. Honestly, even a simple website can help readers find your books more easily and give you a place that's fully under your control. What's been stopping you from getting one set up?

That's true. Royal Road has produced some impressive success stories over the years. What made you decide that TANK was the right project to experiment with a chapter-by-chapter release?

I can definitely see the appeal. Starting with a fresh world and cast makes it much easier for new readers to jump in. The mix of superheroes, time travel, and romance sounds like a lot of fun. What inspired the Hearts of Heroes series in the first place?

Hi! I was checking out your website and really liked how you've presented your books. I was curious, have you ever considered adding things like a reader magnet, enhanced newsletter funnel, or dedicated book landing pages to help convert more visitors into readers?

Honestly, that's probably some of the best writing advice out there. Fresh eyes can catch things the author is simply too close to see. How many beta readers do you usually like to get feedback from before calling a draft ready?

Breaks can definitely help reset your headspace, especially when brain fog builds up. Do you find your writing comes back more easily after a short break, or do you need a bit of a warm-up period to get back into flow?

inksl-inger.bsky.social @inksl-inger.bsky.social · 22/06/2026
Sounds like stepping back was exactly what you needed, even if it wasn’t planned. Do you feel like the break helped with the brain fog, or are you still easing back into the writing rhythm?
