First cider donut of the season. Maybe it will fix me. (Yes, I shared it)

Oh, well that’s alarming. It’s be one thing if you were blocked in with other artists behind you, like normal AA blocks. But.. you’re just out there.. people could walk directly up behind you, no issue.

Staring at a job listing and contemplating how much I want to sacrifice a part of my soul to relearn how to use InDesign and Illustrator.

As a new Harry Potter trailer makes the rounds, it bears repeating that there’s no way to watch this show without supporting J.K. Rowling’s bigotry and the structural violence she’s inflicting on the trans community.

There is no ethical consumption of HBO’s Harry Potter series

You can’t without supporting Rowling’s transphobic bigotry.

There is a house near me that I walk by every morning whose yard is suddenly full of multiple kinds of mushrooms. It’s definitely a ‘well that’s weird and not all concerning’ kinda thing. Could be all the rain we had two weeks ago. Could also be, you know, something else.

I've done so much color work for the last year I feel like I forgot how to draw. 😭

I guess this would just be an Americano since I pour the hot espresso over ice. But with added syrup and some cold foam???

Dani | 🌖🌕🌔 @inkforwords.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

Had to toss the milk when I came from a trip and tell me my my now just two pumps of vanilla syrup with espresso and some cold foam tastes almost 100% better than when I was making a latte. 😩

There will be a lined unicorn one to go with the blank to keep up with my usual sets. That one will be a preorder!

Some new stationery that I was going to have at Ota, but since I can’t make it, they’ll be up in my shop soon! A homage to the unicorn tapestries and a book review notepad!

The daycare kids that sometimes come to play in the field behind my house are running around with balloon swords today. It’s adorable.

I’ve had squash and/or zucchini every day for the last week and a half. I’ve even given some away. My iron levels are probably normal for once in my life, but I need to do something else with it.

I need everyone’s squash and zucchini recipes, these plants are producing more than I can handle. Yes, I’ve grilled. Yes, I am making zucchini bread. (This one got too big and it’s gonna be bread.)

Hook. It got bad reviews when it first came out and lots of people don’t like it. Has a low RT score too. But I love it, have ever since I was a kid. It’s one of my comfort movies.

original characters, it's fallen flat. If that make sense. And there is nothing wrong with fanfics becoming books (okay, well, maybe some of them) but gosh, characters need to have depth if you're going that route.

040

Dani | 🌖🌕🌔 @inkforwords.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

honestly, it's reading very much like it was once a fanfic, with the way the characters are written. As in, you go into it already knowing them, so you don't have to do much characterization, because readers are likely familiar with it. But transferring it over to a book setting where they become

but i want to find out what happened to her twin, if she's the doppelganger (because that's what it's looking like, clocked that almost immediately) or if her twin was. (b/c it's not fae stuff, it's weird horror-pretty sure the forest is making creepy duplicates-stuff.)

110

Dani | 🌖🌕🌔 @inkforwords.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

It's very surface level, things are happening too fast, we're jumping in like we already know these people, but there is no depth here. There are too many things going on with the students to make them sound cool, but that's all it is. And then the tree thing, it just annoyed me.

110

Dani | 🌖🌕🌔 @inkforwords.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

Could it be fantasy or horror reasons this tree is mentioned as being this color. Sure. Absolutely. I'm just 35% into this book and it's uh.. mehh. The premise seems good??? creepy forest, people acting all weird after going in there, murder??? but the execution is... lacking...

Never. Ever. Sit down with your freshly showered, still maybe a little damp legs in a leather chair, in a warm room. Because it WILL hurt when you try to get to up.

I don’t care where it is, a hundred+ year old, ‘one story’ 2 bed, 1 bath house with barely a yard and questionable stairs to the ‘attic’, that needs a ton of work because the kitchen is something out of a 60’s home decor catalog, should not be almost HALF A MILLION DOLLARS.
