A new Lab Note by Ink & Switch Researcher John Mumm, "Progressions", about the learnings from composing independent audio tools into Patchwork, part of our malleable software research www.inkandswitch.com/patchwork/no...

"One of the themes we talk about at Ink & Switch is “situated software”, tools that are developed for the specific requirements of an individual or small community. I was interested in seeing if I could develop a patchwork tool that could not only solve my specific problem here but generally support my processes when writing progressions."

Lab Day will not be purely filled with talks - but also show live demos, creative experiments, and community projects. A collaborative day that’s part unconference, part showcase, and shaped by the ideas that animate our community. Lab Day is included in your ticket localfirstconf.com

A photo of a type writer with the local first sigil in the paper, a notebook that says Lab Day, hosted by Ink & Switch, with an automerge sticker sheet. There is a clipboard saying Coffee Science and a coffee cup.
