Fewer than 3% of journalists are trained to cover science, health or the environment. And access to that training is scarce and inequitable. It's why @theopennotebook.bsky.social works so hard to create free resources anyone can use. Please donate if you can: www.theopennotebook.com/15thannivers...

It amazes me how few news organizations have helpful welcome to our city/ town neighborhood guides coupled with housing resources. It seems like a perfect opportunity to meet an audience with info that could turn them into subscribers or supporters.

About 4 hours left to submit your session ideas for SRCCON 2025! Let's get together in Minneapolis again! I had a great time at #NICAR25. Can't wait for round 2.
Dishes at Kramarczuk's restaurant on a serving tray, including a cabbage roll in tomato sauce, a pierogi and stew.A bag of Old Dutch Ripples French Onion chips sitting on a table in a Midwest dive bar setting.A plate of black truffle deviled eggs with only one egg left of the four that originally sat on the dish.A peaceful, snowy cemetery in Minneapolis with a gravestone celebrating the continuous dancing record of the person who passed: 3780 hours.
