Demon Dale @init-gr8.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Just finished up the demo for Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse. It’s a little stiff—which is very Castlevania, tbh—and that first boss was a little too “git gud,” right out the gate for my tastes. All in all I enjoyed my time with the game. ⬇️ #castlevania #retrogaming #videogames 180

Demon Dale @init-gr8.bsky.social · 02/10/2026My son is 4 and is of an age where: yes, he is potty trained, but no, he would not like to wipe his own bottom, thank-you-very-much-sir. And so he will often just sit there and shout out to the heavens, “Wipe my butt! Wipe my butt!” ⬇️ 100
Demon Dale @init-gr8.bsky.social · 25/09/2026My 9 Each of these games were an obsession for me when they came out. The original Super Mario Bros. was the game that made me a gamer — and I’ve never rolled credits on it after all this time (shameful, I know). 000
Demon Dale @init-gr8.bsky.social · 25/09/2026One of the hosts from the podcast Vidjagame Apocalypse casually joked about “Dewey, Louie and Huey Freeman —why isn’t that a thing?” So one thing lead to another… and I guess I made it a thing😅 Sharpie on Paper; colored in Photoshop #ducktales #theboondocks #illustration #cartoons #disney 040
Demon Dale @init-gr8.bsky.social · 21/09/2026Surprised I missed this story from a few days ago. Pretty bold. I don’t know how much faith I put in Todd Blanche to actually do anything about this. All suspects are at large, and probably out of US jurisdiction. Kind of just a lot of finger pointing on the DOJ’s part. www.bbc.com/news/article...bbc.comDoJ accuses Russia of trying to kill Ukraine allies in US and EuropeThe FBI says five men "conspired to intimidate, threaten, or murder people on US soil and around the world". 000
Demon Dale @init-gr8.bsky.social · 19/09/2026For those who need reminding, this means that the people responsible for the assassination of Jamal Khashoggi will own significant stake in everything from Batman, Looney Toons to Star Trek, to a considerable number of broadcast channels. Demon Dale @init-gr8.bsky.social · 16/09/2026For a book of puzzles, I find the writing in the first #Murdle book is funnier than expected: “… ‘Oh, that would be great for sales. If you got bloody revenge on the guy that killed your friend.’ ‘He was more than a friend,’ Logico replied. ‘For sales, it’s better if he’s just a friend.’ “ 😂 000

Demon Dale @init-gr8.bsky.social · 13/09/2026Is there a better opening paragraph in the history of literature than in Shirley Walker’s “We Have Always Lived in the Castle?” I’m asking. #Shirleywalker #literature #horror 000
Demon Dale @init-gr8.bsky.social · 11/09/2026“Being loved didn’t mean you were alive. People loved lots of inanimate things: stuffed animals, cars, puppets. Being alive meant something else. ‘Because you’re real…and nothing real can last forever. That’s how you know you’re real. Because one day you die.” #literature #horror #gradyhendrix 010
Demon Dale @init-gr8.bsky.social · 08/09/2026I wondered why in Star Trek TNG, they’d always run holodeck programs based on Sherlock Holmes or film noir—wasn’t there anything culturally significant in the future? I feel like the incursion of AI on art and literature has offered me an answer to that question that I wish I didn’t know. #startrek 010
Demon Dale @init-gr8.bsky.social · 08/09/2026Good lord, Star Trek is 60! I can’t remember a time before Star Trek. The ships, the stories, the characters—I love it all! I was a 3rd generation Trekkie. Apart from smoking, I think Star Trek might have been the only thing my father and my grandmother had in common. Here’s to 60 more years. 040
