A few years ago, cities throughout Portugal would join in, closing streets and areas in high publicity stunts. Though short lived and mostly mediatic-fueled, it was still an effort. The past years, the European mobility week / no-cars days was almost absent on the agenda.

Cascais has a new green haven! Bosque do Livramento opens with 8 hectares of woodlands, walkways, picnic areas, and inclusive community projects - protecting a small wood area in the midst of the urban sprawl. We just visited it!
