First Chapter Friday is an awesome idea I discovered while doing research online. A teacher will read the first chapter of a book to a class on Friday to create a desire for reading in those students. This is such a simple, beautiful idea for our young people!! #booksky #writingcommunity

Abibliophobia is a horrible condition to have!! It is the fear of running out of things to read. Now I will confess that it is not a real medical condition, but it should be!! Do you agree? #booksky #writingcommunity

Tang Xianzu was born on September 24, 1550 and is regarded as "the Shakespeare of the East". He is called China’s greatest playwright. What is amazing to me is that both he and Shakespeare died during the same year (1616)! Two great writers gone at the same time! #booksky #writingcommunity

Poor King George III. He was a monarch plagued by bouts of mental instability during his reign. When I think of the current person residing in a white house, it reminds me of King George's mental illness. However, the King was well-liked at the end of his reign. #booksky #writingcommunity
