Yesterday, between storms Austen and Boelo, at the Atlantic. The spray got high above the 30m cliffs. Now we sit comfortably in a warm and cosy house with scones, coffe, and a nice book and watch the wind waves on the lake getting higher during Boelo.

Dölau ist auch nicht so schön. Halle III ist das gallische Dorf. Der einzige Wahlbezirk ganz Sachsen-Anhalts, in dem die AfD nicht die (relative) Mehrheit der Zweitstimmen hat.

Third attempt to get sediments from the "Unterer Eissee" beneath the Hallstätter Glacier, Austria. We carried our equipment three hours up, partially steep slopes and deep snow. In 1.5h, we dug a 1.6 m pit into the snow on the lake and moved c. 2. [1/3]

Last week was probably the best week, so far, to go skitouring. More snow than in the previous weeks, and despite increasing avalanche risk still enough routes to chose from while still being defensive in the selection. [1/2]
