I was 4 when I got chicken pox and caught bits and pieces of Zardoz on TV. I thought the crazy images of that giant flying stone head and Sean Connery in that getup were the result of one wild and loony fever dream. It was an insane moment when I saw the movie on TV again way later in middle school

Treat Williams was one of those actors who should've had a much bigger career. Insanely charismatic and likable in everything he was in. Even the B movies he did for the paycheck were elevated by his presence alone. My fave roles of his were Drax in The Phantom and Finnegan in Deep Rising
