There have been MANY bands that were promoted like Arghoslent riffs without racism. (Some of them are actually ok I think). But these ones have literally an Arghoslent/Grand Belial's Key live member, so yeah, that would be funny if it happened

In northern Greece migrants in detention (a lot being held more than a year in horrible, inhuman conditions) are rising up again. Some people escaped and the Greek state paints them as criminals who are a danger to public safety, putting bounties on them, just because they dared to cross a border.

The truth is that separation of art and artist is not possible. If you want to take the good things, you will try to separate it as you should, but you won't manage completely. You'll stain your hands a bit. The choice is to either dig or let it be buried and sometimes it's worth it, sometimes not.

The question of how to treat or consume problematic art is always difficult and I find that extreme responses in either side are used to bypass the problem. The most radical option seems for me is to DEAL with it, that is, with the ethics and repercussions of every choice.

That's often a difficult thing for me to explain to people that are coming more from political spaces/punk, but I find great satisfaction in listening to styles historically connected with shitiness being used for a liberating cause today. That's the purpose of RABM if you ask me.

While I post pretty much just antifascist bands here, my understanding of a political scene in metal isn't "you should only listen to RABM". It's to exist in safe, creative and radical spaces. Leftist art should be truly inspiring and it should be allowed to use outside influences to do so.

One thing I've came to understand is that the things you like quite often say more things about you than your "official" stance, which is often the result of environment, upbringing, family, chance etc. What I mean is that in the end these two might feel just great with each other.
