I dont really like this design anymore but it was undeniably something important to my artistic progress. It was even one of my earliest 3d models!
A digital drawing of a very round quadrupedal creature, with a strange shelled body and tail ending in a pincer. Its face is very close to its body, and flat, with bared zigzag teeth.

cool mouth guy
A quadrupedal creature, reminiscent of an aarvark. Here it is with its mouth closed....And here it is with its mouth open, where the hinge of the jaw is much further back than would be expected.

Recently gotten into doing art studies, to try be less intimidated and broaden my style. No tracing or colour picking. I think I did good! Here's Peter Elson's cover for 'Deathworld', minus the guy, ha.
A digital drawing, copied from an original. Compared to the original it has slightly different colours and is missing the human. The background is of considerably less detail. The original artwork by Peter Elson. In it, a person with in an orange-red suit is pointing a scifi gun at a large red monster. The monster is reminiscent of a dimetrodon, with a sail along its back. It has huge sharp teeth and a forke tongue, and appears to be roaring at them. In the background are the silhouettes of tall trees. Everything is green aside from the man and monster, including the sky.

My whole life hearing this and every time. Every time. I imagine this. Happy St. Patrick's Day
A short comic of someone listening to someone talking about something that mentions the "Celtic Tiger". The person listening is distracted by imagining it as a literal tiger.

The tiger is illustrated in detail as a green sabretooth tiger with gold teeth and claws, with white and black stripes tipped with gold. Its front half is in the style of a generic tattoo, and its back half is in the style of stereotypical 'celtic' artwork.
(I am irish but I do not on any level know how to draw in that style properly... this is somewhat intentionally tourist merchandise-ish in style. Hence I say 'stereotypical'.)

Digital doodle of a humanoid creature, holding its legs and crying. Unlike furries and real life animals, its knees are actually backwards, and therefore labelled as "perverted" and "deviant".
It is also labelled with text that reads in caps:
"Filthy Inhuman Knee-Haver!!!"
An arrow points from this label to the creature.

Sketches of a character named Reaves. One shows him at 18 years old, awkward and just beginning to be out as a trans man. The other shows him at 24 years old, jaded and worn down by the world.

- Regretted the haircut.
- Fucked up his back binding, got scared and stopped.
- Was already smoking but has stopped hiding it.
- Kept alive via 24/7 leather jacket.
- Got fat.
- Mixed, black british / welsh.

——— FREAK PERMIT ——— • NO EXPIRY • ADMITS ALL feat. / feet. @soundwavelover.bsky.social 🤍
Artwork, titled in hot pink as "Freak Permit".
It shows two stylised humanoid creatures, one white and one black.
The white creature's tail is being used as a chair for the black creature to lie on. The upper half of the white creature is curled upward to hold the black creature's foot to its face, for it to sniff. The black creature is lying back, contentedly, with its tail wrapped around the white creature, who is also happy. The tip of its tail forms a heart over the white creature's head.
Text across the art reads "Expiry: None" and, as a list of checkboxes, all ticked, "Safe, Sane, Consensual".
The artist's signature reads "Infin-8-morphos.is, It / He".

Content warnings for feet, sniffing, suggestive.

Real happy with this... I think I've struck a good balance of dragon to not-dragon, and made it just the right level of streamlined and menacing. Plus, very very almost evolutionarily plausible!

Digital artwork of the head of a reptilian creature. It has several fins and a long pointy snout. It has its tongue wrapped around a knife, which is inside its mouth, cutting it and making it bleed.
The art is very splotchy and colourful, with various abstract shapes and steaks.
Fun fact: The bottom cropped funny but it looked cool so I made it part of the picture. That's why it looks different down there.

WIP of course but this is real fun... This was actually my first proper 3d model! And now I can finally model their horrible little bones so you can see why they're shaped like that :] #speculativebiology #speculativeevolution
Another screenshot of the new model from the parent post. Here, muscle and skeleton models have been overlaid on top of the model.
Of note, their ears aren't actually on their head. They're part of their tail, like their relatives. Coincidentally, they happen to look like they have ears on their head, due to their strange anatomy.Another screenshot of the creature, with only the bones visible.
Here it's easiest to tell what's going on biologically with them; Their spine is 'upside down', running along their front rather than their back.
In addition, their spine doubles back on itself, so that their tail is above their head.

I emerge to give you: Incredibly specific redraw of that World Is A Fuck meme but with me and my companion's fursonas + text rewritten to match their species lore
Digital artwork based on the "World Is A Fuck" meme.
The original featured two cute cartoon animals holding one another, contrasting the text below them which is bizarrely aggressive and specific.

The animals have been replaced with the fursona's of the creator and their companion (@soundwavelover.bsky.social (nsfw) ).
They are drawn very cute and brightly coloured.
The text below them is an alteration of the original text, and reads as follows:

Sought To Die.
Moon Is A Fuck.
Kill Em All 7575.
I am trash grem.
5764304716122 Dead Cavaliers.

Creators note:
"The long number at the end isn't actually random.
If you can figure out what I did to get it, I'll draw you something!
Here's a hint: Their species has 4 fingers on each hand."

Probably not common knowledge, but there was a real bad storm here in Ireland. We haven't had power for 3 days so far... But. look how pretty this candle is
Photo of a bitch black room, lit by a single candle. The candle sits on a table, along with cutlery and paper.

The candle is contained in green glass, producing a rich array of colours in the light emitted by the candle.
A metal dog bowl is placed behind it, reflecting its light back to the contents of the table.Alternate view of the table.

The candle is now in the dog bowl, causing multi-coloured reflections along the it. In the foreground, a blanket can be seen, in which the photographer is cuddled.

I haven't drawn digitally in months :> Until now- Big women demand to be created!
Screenshot of a digital canvas, where 3 drawings can be seen.

The main drawing in the middle is a polished, coloured image of Ter-Turih, a Solmeis. For reference purposes, her many hair-like fronds are absent.
A low opacity copy of her drawing is to the left, with fronds drawn.
On the right is a sketch of a generic Solmeis. It is considerably skinnier than Ter-Turih.

Anatomical Notes:
The Solmeis do not possess mammalian hair. What appear to be hairs are in fact fatty, fleshy protrusions from the skin. There's no good earthly analogy for these 'fronds', except perhaps those rubber hair tube toys, if you've seen them.
They also don't have boobs; Teri here just has impressively buff and fat chest muscles.
They breathe through their 'gills' primarily, but their mouth is still connected to their airway. Evolutionarily this is to allow them to gulp/inhale things, but the Solmeis and their kin of course have adapted their mouths for communication.
The Solmeis do not 'smell' like us, as their noses are not connected to their airway. Their nose is instead covered in chemoreceptors, which they can 'sniff' with by contracting their nose muscles to stimulate and enhance reception.
Solmeis can hop, and also run on all fours. Usually they walk, but hopping is energetically efficient. It's rare to see a Solmeis run on all fours, but it is their fastest way of moving.

One thing I love in dragon designs is when their limbs are uncannily human. For example see a lot of Dark Souls dragons and a lot of those tourist trap glitter dragon statues (my beloveds)
Example of a dragon statue. It is holding the blade of a sword between its oddly buff arms.Screenshot of the Ancient dragon from Dark Souls 2. It is lounging decadently with its arms crossed.Screenshot of Oceiros from Dark Souls 3. He is disturbingly gangly, with long people-hands.Another example of a dragon statue. It is standing on its hind limbs, and playing a keytar. Of particular note, it has prominent pecs, interrupting its body's scales.

Sure, they're cute, but don't forget- They're still full of bones. For the #specbio / #specevo on this #creature, see the alt text :p
3d render of an alien creature.
It resembles a small dinosaur, or more familiarly to us humans, a chicken.
Instead of feathers, it has moist, rubbery skin, sometimes but not always with scales.
It is covered in fins, which double as non-functional wings. A notable feature of it is its melon- a soft fatty pad atop its head, that provides protection and sensory functions.

This is a domesticated creature, much more compact, meaty, and fat than its wild ancestors. Their body is exceptionally round and 'cute', both thanks to the process of domestication and intentional aesthetic breeding.
These creatures appear to have no claws, but in fact keep their hard parts under fleshy pads. This gives their digits the appearance of being nubs. Likewise, their fatty lips make it hard to notice their tough, crushing teeth- and so, many a child has lost a finger pestering one, in the belief they cannot retaliate.
Diagonal, orthographic 3d render of skeleton, and some organs, of the creature.

Their circular head, like a beluga whale, hides their actual anatomy. Their skulls are actually quite thin and cave in quite far to form a distinct snout.
Their skulls are made up of many unfused sections, which is part of why they have such round heads- they are notoriously fragile to impacts.
The joint between their melon attachment and their braincase has been selectively bred to allow for the easiest, most humane slaughter possible.
This is carried out by driving a stake of some kind between the joint, severing the brainstem near-instantly.Another 3d render of the anatomy of the creature.

Compared to earth life, these creatures differ in many ways.
Like a fish, they have gills. These gills do not breathe in water, but instead connect to 6 organs comparable to lungs. Each gill is connected to one lung, making these creatures extremely hard to asphyxiate.

Their gills serve another purpose, as they, and several other gill-derived organs, have oil glands that keep their moist skin from drying out, and also from disease and parasites, as the oil has antibacterial properties.

This oil is an important byproduct, and is used to keep clothing made of their (and their close relatives) skin flexible and clean.
As long as they are maintained, they degrade very slowly, and stay strong and vibrant for decades.

The oil is also good for making soap!
